Pastor Martin noted that the Republican Party has done more outreach to the black community in Michigan than the Democratic Party has.
This Democratic apathy combined with the partys continued migration to the Far Left has Martin concerned that theres no room for centrist Democrats like him in the party anymore.
I am a moderate Democrat, but I do not support abortion. I do not support same-sex marriage, Pastor Martin said, according to the Detroit Free Press. I have people in my congregation who ask us, How do we preach one thing on Sunday, but then campaign for people who are totally opposed to that?

Sadly, he probably doesn’t have a place with conservatives in the GOP party either.
Yeah, you have a place. Your place is on the Plantation. You will be summoned when we need your vote. Now go back to your food stamps and welfare.
How do we preach one thing on Sunday, but then campaign for people who are totally opposed to that?
A fair question that.

“Do I have a place in this party?”
Fast answer, no. Not only “no”, but “HELL NO!”
There are alternatives out there. It is a matter of looking for them. Not nearly as much as there ought to be, but some tentative outreach by the Republican party is cautiously approaching these neighborhoods, and getting a surprisingly receptive response.
The scales are falling from their eyes.
No.
Your place in the Democrat party is to vote for whomever they tell you to when they tell you to do it. As for any concerns your community has, please let them know when you’re playing the race card so they can summon a crack team to come grandstand and obscure your actual concerns with made up junk.
‘I am a moderate Democrat, but I do not support abortion. I do not support same-sex marriage, Pastor Martin said’
I understand his confusion. He’s a man without a political party. He’s being asked to sacrifice his moral values for an economic agenda. There is no political resistance to same-sex marriage. Zero. The most conservative part of the GOP cares about abortion and some of the rest acts like it cares when an election year rolls around.
Everything has been reduced to an argument about economics for the last 30 years. Sacrifice morality for the sake of either wealth redistribution or lower capital gains taxes. The end result is tranny reading hour.

Not the most gracious post ever.
I believe this was a case of “my mind’s made up.”
The Black voters in 2008 made their mind up that they were going to vote for the “First Black President”. No amount of showing that voting for him went against their principles was going to change their vote.
During his administration race relations plummeted around the country, his Obamacare did not live up to any of the promises, and Black unemployment was high. This is identity politics voting, not voting by being informed.
The GOP does the exact same thing. I am asked to sacrifice my Pride, Patriotism and Nationalism for a FAILED globalist economic agenda and global labor arbitrage.
This is how cognitive dissonance works.
The good preacher of the gospel has come to grips with reality.
No, there is no place for a preacher of the gospel in the Democrat Socialist Party. It is led by antichrists.
LOL! Great post/pic; posts. From spiritual to reality. It’s been around a long, long time. HOORAY Pastor Martin. (Even Louis Farrakhan called Hillaryous Rotten Criminal...WICKED)
What is a “centrist Democrat?”
A mythical creature!
Yep, they sure do. President Trump was a backlash against that, and they are trying as hard as they can to redirect him back to the usual GOP stuff.
Back to the Pastor’s concerns, at least you can still be pro-life in some places in the GOP, but the usual suspects have been trying to chip away at that for decades. He can leave the party that has already kicked out people like him in favor of the party that is still trying to kick out people like him.
The same way Pelosi and Biden are "devout catholics" while they enable abortion and homosexuality and tansgenderism to flourish.
