‘I am a moderate Democrat, but I do not support abortion. I do not support same-sex marriage, Pastor Martin said’
I understand his confusion. He’s a man without a political party. He’s being asked to sacrifice his moral values for an economic agenda. There is no political resistance to same-sex marriage. Zero. The most conservative part of the GOP cares about abortion and some of the rest acts like it cares when an election year rolls around.
Everything has been reduced to an argument about economics for the last 30 years. Sacrifice morality for the sake of either wealth redistribution or lower capital gains taxes. The end result is tranny reading hour.
The GOP does the exact same thing. I am asked to sacrifice my Pride, Patriotism and Nationalism for a FAILED globalist economic agenda and global labor arbitrage.
I get this guy. I was a pro-life Democrat who came to realize that the party position was frozen in stone and there was no use trying any more. I came to realize that my freedom was what was going to save my ability to vote my conscience, so freedom became my priority, and people like the Tea Party and Trump were going to protect that freedom and preserve the Constitution better than others. I am still not totally comfortable belonging to the Republican Party, because it often gets controlled by people like Arnold Scwarzennegger where I come from (CA), but it’s better than being without a party at all, I think, so here I am. Trump 2020.
