Steve Bannon, chief executive of Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and former White House strategist, has a warning for those who think it will be a godsend for President Trump to take on democratic socialist Bernie Sanders in a potential general election contest.
No one should get cocky about this, Bannon said during an extensive podcast interview on The Pods Honest Truth With David Brody. Theres more tears shed for answered prayers than for unanswered.
Of course, a Sanders nomination is by no means a foregone conclusion. The data shows that, at this point at least, he may fall short of a majority of delegates before the Democratic National Convention convenes in July. And if so
Michelle Obama could come in at the last second at the convention for a salvation of the Democratic Party, Bannon said. I think the Democrats will turn to anybody that thinks they can save their party.
Even the 2016 Democratic nominee for president?
Don't believe that Hillary Clinton's not in the wing, Bannon states emphatically. Hillary Clinton is waiting, she's getting the makeup on, getting the hair ready.
Bernie Sanders doesnt plan for any of that to be necessary. Hes poised to do well on Super Tuesday, when 1,617 delegates are at stake, nearly one-third of all delegates.
Looking ahead to a possible general election race, a new Quinnipiac University poll shows the democratic socialist narrowly leading Trump in two key Rust Belt states, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Big Mike doesn’t want her college papers discussed publicly; they are online, and she’s a semiliterate dope.
Hillary can’t run because not only is she apparently ill, but which Dems today weren’t blaming her for the loss 4 years ago - as a “horrible candidate”? Which media whores didn’t at some point soon after the election concede that she was horrible? All of their own words could be used against her if she was the candidate again, and the big donors wouldn’t stand for it. They gave her an election (not a chance, but they delivered the election on a silver platter) and she threw it away.
Citing a poll that had Hellery winning 100,000,000 to 1 (exaggerated for effect) the last election is not citing a source with any credibility.
No poll this far out of an election is worth the space the data consumes.
That’s the only thing that occurred to me, too. Oh, and telling somebody to plant a garden on the WH lawn.
No; he was NOT commenting on Mayor Pete's pullout!
She could warm the seat while Jarrett, et. al., run the show behind the scenes. She is qualified for that.
So EVERY democrat voter turns on a dime. They are easily led but not that stupid.
What matters is what Bernie does. Pray he gets screwed by the DNC and goes 3rd party, which I think he will. He’ll have the money, momentum, and organization and he’s too old to ever run again, so why not? It’s not like he gives a s#it about the future of the D party. No more than a terrorist who hijacks an airplane cares about the airline’s on-time arrival stats.
All she needs now is a man-amplifier; scaled down to fit her; to keep from falling all over the ground.
Don’t believe that Hillary Clinton’s not in the wing,

I think there might be something to this - we shall see.
The Wookie isn’t gonna do a damn thing.
Hillary on a stretcher is no help either.
Just put a boxer out there that can last 3 rounds.
I suggest Jerry Springer.
That was a different time. Many didn’t realize until well after the election what had happened. And, Bern meekly accepting the rigged outcome was also a factor.
The Bern bots are now well aware of what the dnc did to them last time. They have once again rallied to him. Many will not accept being screwed over again.
Of course, not all will react that way. For many their TDS is all-consuming but, enough will be angry enough if they are screwed again to be a problem for the dnc.
The dnc knows this and they are concerned about this.
I cant see it either. they want to makes millions with Netflix
However, it would be quite an accomplishment to do something never done in history..and a real slap in the face to the Clintons. This is the only reason that I think she might consider
And the powers that be could promise them lots of money to make up for giving up Netflix.
> Not afraid of either one of them. <
Im afraid of the massive voter fraud that WILL happen should Michelle or Hillary get the nomination. The only question for me is how much fraud will occur should Bernie get the nomination. Will the party regulars make that same effort?
What are two more deaths to pickles?
I do see this as a throw away election for the dems. Give Sanders, Biden and Warren their chance, while grabbing Mike's $$$$ to fund the consultants, pollsters, advertising execs, et al.
If so, then we will see their 2024 challenger emerge sometime in early 2021.
“just in case both Bernie and Joe die from a heart attack or stroke prior to the democrat convention.”
—
I doubt either of them could go very long in the WH before their health went south in a big way.
Forgive my lack of knowledge, but can anyone decide at any time that they want to be President, and to hell with fundraising, hectic schedules, debates and all? Why all these primaries then?
Well one frightful thing about the 0bammy, he new how to run a campaign and rile people up enough to vote for him. He knows where to find the right people to push his agenda. He is bad news. ...probably for years to come.
Steve Bannon is correct; Don’t think that the country
“Will NEVER” elect an avowed Socialist to the presidency.
Look at how big Bernie’s crowds are, huge. Look at how many
young people want to vote for him. Young, meaning, people 45 and under.
I don’t think we have ever had a known Socialist who was this popular with current voters. It is alarming just how popular and accepted Bernie Sanders is now. This is the result of schools teaching their students anti-capitalist, anti-American, anti-common sense ideas for over the last few decades.
Sarah Sanders (Huckabee) agrees too. Take nothing for granted!
He’s going to win Virginia.
