586 total for today.

Not sure whether this is a trend yet, but today's total is actually a slight decrease, from the new cases, reported yesterday.

They’re doing well, considering the very high population density there.

I shudder to think of conditions in N. Korea.

At least, the S. Koreans don’t have to worry about securing their northern border.

On the bright side, North Koreans don’t have to worry about their health care system being overwhelmed.

Pray for warm weather. Get 7-9 hours of sleep if possible (most important). Exercise as much as possible before getting ill (not during illness). Exercise helps us to sleep more deeply (very important).

Stay well hydrated. Eat a varied, healthy diet if possible. Eat only until you no longer feel hungry and no more. Drink green tea (2 per day, 4 if wanting to lose weight). Some healthy spices for our immune systems are garlic, onions, cayenne pepper, turmeric and ginger.

Is it just me, or do the SK deaths from the virus seem really low? Is this just a factor of not enough time elapsed for the cases to be resolved into recoveries or death? Hopefully some of the number crunchers out there can chime in.

I mean we already have 1 death here in the US with less than 70 cases. That’s obviously a much higher death rate than SK, where there are 3736 cases and 18 deaths. I suppose the difference could also be due to the criminal lack of testing here.

Or could it be (buttoning up flame suit) that this thing is not as serious as we’re being told? What are Italy’s numbers?

Speaking of health care systems and moving the geographic needle to the west this should prove to be an illustrative example of the vaunted socialized health care systems of Western European countries the Left is hell bent on us adopting.

I think it is partly the result of it still being relatively new, for South Korea.

The numbers have been going up very quickly.

With a prayer, for everyone, that you are right.

New deaths should read ‘total deaths’ as no deaths occurred today

Thanks, HollyB. Italy’s death rate is a bit higher than SK and the outbreaks in these two countries started at about the same time, didn’t they?

Maybe the difference in death rates is just a factor of testing efficiency - of which SK is the best, Italy is somewhere in the middle, and the US is worst.

Also, isn’t the strange church in SK where they went around and tested surfaces (wow, why can’t we do that!), and found the virus on the faucet handle in a bathroom?

So you can scrub your hands until they bleed but when you turn off the water, you still get infected by the sink!

Perhaps I’m completely wrong in my perception, however Outside of age and comorbidities as factors, could it be that SK is in a better position to treat this virus?
