I think it is partly the result of it still being relatively new, for South Korea.
The numbers have been going up very quickly.

Thanks, HollyB. Italys death rate is a bit higher than SK and the outbreaks in these two countries started at about the same time, didnt they?
Maybe the difference in death rates is just a factor of testing efficiency - of which SK is the best, Italy is somewhere in the middle, and the US is worst.
Also, isnt the strange church in SK where they went around and tested surfaces (wow, why cant we do that!), and found the virus on the faucet handle in a bathroom?
So you can scrub your hands until they bleed but when you turn off the water, you still get infected by the sink!
