Unprecedented, unprecedented. Everything is unprecedented. Nothing like this has ever happened before.
Except it pretty much has. Whenever you see the word unprecedented in the media, you should ask yourself: Has this reporter ever read a history book? Make the case against Trump if you want to, but if you pretend the sorts of things he does are without precedent, you simply make yourself look ignorant.
Virtually any presidency you examine is guilty of far worse acts than whatever you think is the worst thing Trump has ever done, from John Adams Alien and Sedition Acts, a breathtaking offense against freedom that was meant to punish political resistance, to Millard Fillmores Fugitive Slave Act, which made it so the evil tentacles of the Souths slavery regime could reach up North and pluck back people who had successfully made it to freedom. Even Abraham Lincoln suspended habeas corpus and did nothing to stop his troops from shutting down newspapers they didnt like.
Think Trump is more vulgar than anyone whos held the office before him? In 2016, when Marco Rubio once implied he had a small dingle-dongle, Trump responded, I guarantee you theres no problem and everyone got the vapors. But Lyndon B. Johnson actually liked to show off his Johnson, peeing in the open air outside the House Office Building. When reporters once asked Johnson why the US was in Vietnam, he pulled out his todger and exclaimed, This is why!
You say Trump is an unprecedented threat to civil liberties? Woodrow Wilsons administration threw people in jail for opposing his policy to join WWI the year after he campaigned on the slogan He kept us out of war. A leading political figure of the day, Eugene V. Debs, was imprisoned

The left encourages short memories. Makes it easier to bamboozle their core sonstituencies.
Trump is a mild version of Andrew Jackson. Jackson did, in fact, shoot people and his voters did not care. I don’t mean shoot people in war, but gun them down in duels. Upon his inauguration, his supporters trashed the White House in a drunken brawl. Trump supporters merely enjoyed the tears of Hillary supporters.
You forgot, compared to Obama who isn’t even eligible to be POTUS /s
After WWII, a lot of Germans were told about the Jewish holocaust and the concentration camps that the German government had run. Many Germans claimed to be shocked. “We were never told!” they said.
At some point, Americans are going to find out that President Trump is a loyal, honest, law-abiding president who has treated people fairly and made America great again. Many Americans will claim to be shocked. “We were never told!” they will say.
I would blame Congress for the Alien and Sedition Acts and for the Fugitive Slave Act. Of course Adams and Fillmore went along with these acts but they did not initiate them.
Carter, 0bama then you had wimpy Bush.
I’m trying to picture Twitter in LBJ’s time. He’d have a field day posting pics of surgery scars and his yanking on beagle ears. (and he would do it, too, believe me!).
Those arent misdeeds. Each President is a unique person. Getting all in a tithed because you dont like some one elses behavior is the work best left to pharisees and Sadducees
Jackson was a hard case, as was TR.
When I was a teen, I heard that he was a member of the mile high club-in AF1, on several occasions with different women-if he’d had Twitter, he would probably tweet about that-and I can see him with a personal cell phone in his hand, sexting dick pics and explicit language to his mistress-du-jour while in meetings at the WH-he was apparently a shameless ass****-Bill Clinton x 10...
No. I think he is competent, shrewd, and hard working.
I was just going to post about Ol Andy.
He beat the hell out of a man who tried to assinnate him.
He also hated the establishment politicos in DC...the media especially, since they ruined his family life.
One of the first thing Trump did after being sworn in was to hang Jacksons portrait in the Oval Office
I read that at one duel, the other guy fired first at Jackson, who didn’t twitch. Thinking that he’d missed, he had to stand still while Jackson took aim and killed him. Jackson carried the other guys bullet in his body to the grave. He was not a man to be messed with.
And he did his best to drain the swamp of his time.
Once in Alabama I bought some barbecue sauce from an “Indian” whose stand was covered with anti-Jackson posters/articles. For whatever it’s worth he was willing to accept bills with Jackson’s portrait on them for payment, so I guess the hatred was not all-encompassing.
Liberals and their precious PC are what causes so much of their butthurt, and the media’s faux outrage.
Too many soy boyz and snowflakes that take offense at anything not in line with their estrogen overloaded brains.
One more...
There was one group Jackson hated, and I mean HATED, worse than any other. The Brits.
