San Francisco declared an emergency. They KNOW that those thousands of homeless defecating on the sidewalks and living on the sidewalk are a petrie dish waiting for an infection to come along.
I wouldn’t put it past them to IMPORT an infected Asian just to get it started, so they can blame the President.
The problem with “free” is that somebody is paying for it, and the bureaucrats are getting a healthy cut, and the politicians are getting a healthy kickback.
When the somebody who is paying for it figures out how to minimize (or avoid) paying for it they will do so, until nobody is paying for it.
At that point everybody starts yelling and jumping up and down and pointing fingers and eventually chopping off heads and sending people off to camps and firing squads.
Think of it as socialism in action.
A bunch of useful idiot Americans will vote for any socialist democrat in SCarolina today, but a huge number will vote directly for socialism, casting their ballots for bernie.

In American “elderly” begins at “receiving social security” age.
We are the ones they want to wipe out. That’s the socialist plan to control costs.

We were there a few years ago on a tour and most of the toilets were holes in the ground you squat over. You walk through urine and other stuff and no toilet paper (take your own we were told). Where’s the sink to wash we ask. Response is a head shake no.
On the streets people sell live frogs hopping in netted bags, some small live turtles in some for food. My friend warned me not to go down one street because there were sad dogs in cages. No birds in big cities due to pollution.
Medical care consists of herbal teas and ground up weeds of some kind. And we sit and wonder how this ever started in China?
My memory is that the commies used work crews at the point of a gun. They didn’t tolerate lazy welfare leeches. And the sick and infirm died quietly in the night.
I guess it make some people feel better to delude themselves this way.
Our current healthcare system has developed over the last 80 years under both Democrats and Republicans.
Sure, the ACA only had Dem support but it really only addressed the way insurance is purchased in a small part of the market and expanded Medicaid.
The vast bulk of our healthcare system, including the delivery and employer-provided insurance, wasn't really changed.
