Our current healthcare system has developed over the last 80 years under both Democrats and Republicans.

Sure, the ACA only had Dem support but it really only addressed the way insurance is purchased in a small part of the market and expanded Medicaid.

The vast bulk of our healthcare system, including the delivery and employer-provided insurance, wasn't really changed.

The ACA ws just a device to keep the system alive for a few more years, and to enable a last gorging of profit-taking by the vultures feasting on the complete reorganization of hospital care brought about by the GOP Prospective Payment System.
