For the many, many, many of us who don’t live in South Philly, can you explain what the underlying issue is?
A few years ago former governor and Philly mayor Ed Rendell joined the board of Safehouse, a new nonprofit dedicated to opening a safe injection site — it would be the first in the nation — where Philadelphians could shoot up drugs they purchase elsewhere, but under medical supervision. (Three-quarters of Philly’s overdose deaths in 2017 occurred, not on the street, but in private homes.) Rendell says he was inspired to join Safehouse by the overdose death in 2016 of a longtime family friend....

The city snuck a heroin injection site into South Philly -- even though South Philly has low opiate troubles. But that, of course, would sky rocket with such a plan, especially attracting dealers to supply the demand.
Notice they didn't put this in Rittenhouse Square, where the wealthy live.

Safe injection site? Why protect junkies? Theirs is a problem that will solve itself if left to their own. Sorry, no sympathy for those that reject treatment.

NYC is now fining people for idling their cars in freezing weather.
Police can’t even stay warm in their cars when parked while working.
Virginia is even working on a law to prevent schools from reporting student sexual assault offenders.
The government officials are not really protecting the junkies. They are protecting the dealers and cartels who need to maintain their market and making using drugs look “safe.”
If too many users die and create a horrible image, it destroys the future market and hurts the cartel bottom line.

Holy @$@%$! that was awesome! These Marxists need be exposed like this everywhere. Drug injection sites? Safe drug dens like the old Opium Dens of the last century.
