Naomi Seibt, a blonde German teenager, has become a U.S. think tank’s weapon of choice when it comes to combatting climate activist and global phenomenon Greta Thunberg.
The Heartland Institute, a conservative think tank that rejects the scientific consensus on climate change, labeled Seibt as “a fantastic voice for free markets and for climate realism” and has booked her to speak at CPAC later this week.
Seibt has already headlined at the UN climate conference in Madrid this past December, and CPAC will be her American debut.
Although the German 19-year-old rejects “climate alarmism,” she mimics Thunberg in several ways, including usage of the “How dare you?” phrase, which Seibt alternatively uses as her “message to the media.”
Seibt and Thunberg are additionally both young and persuasive European figures who seem to only differ when it comes to their opposing viewpoints on climate change and activism.

This is dumb...no one really listens to greta.
I see both instances as child abuse where grown adults parade out a young child as a prop to advance their agenda.
This young woman is 19, not 16. And Thunberg was pulled out of school at 15 to be a prop for the Climate Alarmists. And arguably has significant mental and physical issues.
Are you kidding me? Just because the left plays this game, we now do it as well? There is nothing of value to be gained by propping some child up.. whoever at CPAC approved this needs to removed immediately.

Her presence on the board prompted protests after The New York Times reported in 2017 that the Mercer Family Foundation — which Ms. Mercer operates with her father, the New York investor Robert Mercer — had given nearly $8 million to organizations including those that reject the scientific consensus on climate change. Among these beneficiaries are the Heartland Institute in Illinois and Breitbart News, the influential right-wing website that was run by Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trump’s former chief strategist.

In 2018 more than 200 scientists and other academics who have advocated policy action on climate change called on the museum to remove Ms. Mercer from its board and “end ties to anti-science propagandists and funders of climate science misinformation.”
Last week, the advocacy group Revolting Lesbians trumpeted Ms. Mercer’s departure on its Facebook page: “WE DID IT!” the post said. “This is a big deal because we are in a climate emergency, and a scientific institution has no place accepting money from and giving power and legitimacy to a mega-funder of climate science denial.”

She is 19.My views at that age were already conservative by then. Why not let her enjoy some fame? It is not like we are taking advantage of some kids mental illness.

I reject what those two words are attempting to suggest.
There is no such thing as scientific consensus in the mind of a real scientist.
Just more of what Herr Goebbels was dishing out.
Any time I see that term used seriously I completely discount the user as a person to be taken seriously.
