In looking at your recent posting history, I am wondering why you seem to be making it your life mission to minimize the risks that even our President is taking seriously?
And you can’t grasp the life cycle of each. Late in the life cycle of one, just beginning the ramping up of the other.
Of course no “EN MASSE” yet...COVID-19 is not endemic yet...not even close...~83300 cases worldwide. 100’s of millions of cases of flu worldwide. We are talking about what will happen when COVID-19 becomes widespread, you are talking about the current small # of cases. It is the “average seriousness”, “R0”, “mortality rate” numbers that are interesting, not the current total number of cases/deaths. My “back of the napkin” “mortality rate” #’s....4330 cases outside of China/Iran (I don’t trust their numbers)...44 deaths in that group for a simplified “mortality rate” of 1%....a bad flu season in the USA...44,802,000 cases, 61000 deaths for a simplified “mortality rate” of 0.13% So COVID-19 is running 7.7x is the mortality rate.
