This ALWAYS happens and these people are SO STUPID!! So yes they get $15.00 an hour but their hours are cut they no longer get the benefits of a full time worker, everything they now buy costs more because of the wage increase, more payroll taxes come out of their check AND the only people benefiting from the wage increase is the damn government getting more money in payroll taxes!! I just cant believe how stupid American workers are!!!
Boy oh boy. Burny ain’t gonna like this.
Rolling eyes...
Yep. Who here is surprised?
Everyone here knew this would happen.
Meanwhile, the Left has no clue.
You get what you pay for, you earn what you are worth. Don’t like it, get a better job.
But now Dems can put them on the dole and tell them they’ll even lose that if they vote Republican.
Most companies want more work for more pay. Sign me up for one that doesnt. Hint - there are none.
demonKKKrats know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
I think it costs more like $25 an hour to pay someone $15 an hour.
I worked there in the 90s.
Pay wasnt incredible, and work for me was hard, but the managers were the best folks I could work for and they gave me free meals from the store restaurant whenever I had to do something especially tedious and “messy”. For a college freshmen that was a sweet deal when I took my break to do homework and haven’t had a full meal since the previous day.
Still have some back pains from then, but still a great experience. Miss those people, still wont wear red and khaki ever again.
Mr. Market always has his way. He’s a plodding, principled fellow, Mr. Market. It’s almost as if he and his friend Mr. Thermodynamics came from the same Mom, maybe even the same father and litter.
Target Gotta pay More in recent years to hire security officers to monitor the womens dress rooms and restrooms.
The workers shouldve Realized then it wasnt the place to be $15 or not
In the real world, a $15 an Hour Employee Wage costs the Employer about $18 an Hour thanks to legally required State and Federal Employment Taxes.
Wait til some of the jobs there get automated.
Brick and mortar stores are in a tough position because of the evolution of shopping options. That's no one's "fault", it is the way it is and they have to decide how they will deal with it.
But it's a shame these people (employees) don't understand how this came to be and how the political groups promising them more are shafting them. A really key takeaway that these employees need to realize is that they will never raise a family and live the American dream on minimum wage, Ever. No matter how high the minimum wage is raised. If they want those things, they need to figure out how to get qualified for work that is not basically the domain of HS students.
Understanding cause and effect is something that few young people grasp. They think, and will continue to do so, that the remuneration for work should be based on their economic needs, not the value of their work.
