Wow. I didn’t know any of that. Thanks

Who CAN he put as VP that would bring a state he’s not getting already?

Not many socialist swing states...which ones might a VP help him get? or keep?

I think it’s a rule If it’s a White Guy nominee then VP must be woman of Color, not fake injun, it would also be a plus if that woman of Color was from the alphabet grouping.

Carville is probably correct

Bernie never wanted to win, he just wants to get paid to drop out.

Warren, I don't know ... maybe she's giving up on '20 and thinks she has a shot at '24

Bernie, on the other hand, is just a die hard commie and a miserable tactician.

Were tactician another word for human being, I'd agree totally.

I think we need to want a see how well the Sanders campaign does. He has been unorthodox but he is the front runner who has at least an outside chance of wrapping up the nomination with a big Super Tuesday performance.

Bernie needs woman on ticket, but what does one in a neighboring state do for him? What about the South and Midwest?

Bernie needs someone that pulls in the rust belt states. Possibly MI, WI, OH, PA. Somehow, they will need to pry back some of these states despite the Trump Boom. I doubt any of the current candidates get him there, so he will have to look elsewhere. But if he doesn’t get the first vote, he risks even being nominated, thus the Warren strategy. Then he hopes for a market/jobs crash. Again, a wild prediction and lots of stuff can happen in the next month or two.

No Carville is not stupid. But his advice to politicians of a liberal stripe seems to be “Lie to the public”. Then after you get elected, you can start crafting policies about things that you refused to talk frankly about in the campaign. This is why we have a crisis of government every time a Dem gets elected to the White House. They claim a great “mandate” on election night, then they dump most things that they ran on and start tinkering with things they refused to take a position on. Clinton did it. Obama did it.

Keep the faith in NYC. I wish someone would tell Bloomie to go and save NYC again. With his big head he probably would think that he could be Mayor and President at the same time. It seems to me from what I keep reading it has turned into one of those shitholes I keep hearing about. Plus I am tired of his idiotic commercials.

Kamala would be a good choice, especially if she brought Oprah along for the team.

Exactly. He knows what he’s talking about. I think he’s right. This isn’t about Bernie winning. This is about Bernie laying the groundwork for a younger socialist contender in ‘24

“Bernie never wanted to win, he just wants to get paid to drop out.”

Bernie is in the Ross Perot position now. Let’s see what he does. Will he drop out when he realizes “I might just win this thing” and throw it to someone of the DNC’s choosing? I think he might. There were several points in 2016 where he had the Queen of Diamonds on the ropes and each time he let her off. He’s like a sparing partner who doesn’t want to hurt the person writing his paycheck.

Geographic balance went out the window when Clinton picked Al Gore as his running mate. GWB picked Dick Cheyney who had to run to Wyoming to re-establish residency there (because he was living in Texas at the time).
