I have know idea, but I got the impression Weinstein is just a disgusting teen molester who used his casting couch as a power play on girls. He donated money to the Clintons. I guess if he was laundering money for them, then maybe he knows something but, does he?

Epstein had the goods, as in lots of blackmail material, on very powerful people. He seems like a different class of ‘victim’ than Weinstein, but I could be wrong.

My guess, and it's just that, is that Mister Weinstein has major dirt on a whole lotta powerful peeps, who just might have joined in on some of Weinstein's criminal behavior. Many others knew the score and said and did nothing (aka, enabled). IIRC Weinstein was a Dem political activist, and was lionized as a wonderful person.

Might he now be a very inconvenient liability?

Well, one suspects that they were "known associates", and in the case of Bill, apparently had similar behavior inclinations of using power and prestige to go after female (I'll use the v word) victims.
