My guess, and it's just that, is that Mister Weinstein has major dirt on a whole lotta powerful peeps, who just might have joined in on some of Weinstein's criminal behavior. Many others knew the score and said and did nothing (aka, enabled). IIRC Weinstein was a Dem political activist, and was lionized as a wonderful person.

Well, one suspects that they were "known associates", and in the case of Bill, apparently had similar behavior inclinations of using power and prestige to go after female (I'll use the v word) victims.

I agree with you. Weinstein has access to some of the hottest women around, and passing a few around to some other powerful people would buy some protection — until it couldn’t.
