Almost half of all blacks and Hispanics who attend Harvard were admitted because of illegal racial preferences in admissions according to a brief just filed by the Department of Justice.
The Department of Justice has filed a brief in a federal lawsuit filed by Students For Fair Admissions that says Harvard's race-based admissions process violates federal law. This filing marks a extreme departure from the Obama Civil Rights Division that spent significant time and resources seeking to expand the use of race in decision making.
The brief filed by the Justice Department says Harvard "considers applicants’ race at virtually every step, from rating applicants to winnowing the field of applicants when attempting to avoid an oversubscribed class." The brief notes that forty-five percent of African-Americans and Hispanics at Harvard are because of racial preferences given to them during the admissions process.
The Justice Department notes that providing blacks racial preferences has created a large class of victim applicants: Asians.

Not only how that ignorant fool Obama got in, but exactly how he graduated as well.
They handed Obama a Harvard diploma simply because he was the right color to give Liberals @rgasms.
He wasn't qualified to be there, and he wasn't qualified to graduate.
I think you would be shocked to find out how much government money goes to this "private" institution.

I have told this story before, but this seems like a good time to repeat it.
Years ago we had a black Yale graduate who was brought into the company. He was a very nice guy, always dressed well, very friendly with everyone, and a team player.
We never had any issues with him.
However, it was blatantly obvious that he was not that bright—and Yale had taken him because of the color of his skin.
There were very few professional blacks in our industry, and within a couple of years one of our competitors stole him from us and made him President of one of their major divisions.
It took two years of his leadership before that division went broke and had to be divested from their company at a huge loss.
It was totally predictable—and really a tragedy for all involved.
There was a time when they had a quota capping the number of Jews they would admit. Now they have inverted the meritocratic process to limit the number of Asians admitted. They should have a diverse student body - intellectually diverse.
Though Harvard really isn’t the problem. It’s wrong but it’s a minnow in the ocean. Public K-12 schools are where the real problems are. How many schools in Baltimore where none of the kids can pass the math proficiency test?
This is happening at colleges and universities all across the county. For those parents being prosecuted for paying to get their children admitted, this should be a huge factor in defending themselves.

This taints the degrees for the other 55%, since they will also be assumed to have cheated.
It would be interesting to know how the blacks and Hispanics who got in via the good ol’ race card are doing academically in their classes. I wonder if they can compete against people who were admitted due to brain power.
Only 45%? I figured it would be more like 85%.
There are probably plenty of African American kids who deserve to get into Harvard but can’t friggin afford it. Few people can.
We live in an age where information is literally at our fingertips. There is no reason why college education should be so expensive. Obviously the older and more prestigious schools look good on a resume and for making connections.
FWIW, the Unabomber won a Harvard Scholarship at the age of 16.
The drop out rates are much higher for blacks—there are a bunch of statistics out there...
All Affirmative Action plans have quotas that necessitate the acceptance of those marginally or flat-out unqualified.
Of course this not just at Harvard nor only at colleges. This kind of crap happens all across this nation.
They are no doubt pulled along and coddled, probably in easy majors and with unlimited resources thrown at them such as free tutoring. And yet their diploma will say “Harvard” just like everybody else and they’ll have their pick of jobs.
Oh well.
