Bernie Sanders unexpectedly released a fact-sheet Monday night explaining that he'd pay for his sweeping new government programs through new taxes and massive lawsuits against the fossil fuel industry, as well as by slashing spending on the military, among other methods.
The move sought to head off complaints from Republicans and some rival Democrats that his plans were economically unrealistic, especially after a head-turning CBS News interview in which the frustrated Vermont senator said he couldn't "rattle off to you every nickle and every dime" about his proposed expenditures.
He released his plan on his website just minutes after promising to do so during a CNN town hall.

“Okay, Mayor Bloomberg. So what is YOUR plan?”
Look for that at the next debate.
Sanders spending plans top $65 trillion while his schemes to pay for it total $3 trillion leaving him 62 trillion short. That also is based on their overtly optimistic numbers that their crash the US economy spending plan would not also significantly reduce what they actually manage to take in in new taxes
Drive up the price of oil;
effectively impose a tax on consumers of petroleum;
tend to have the effect any tax has on the economy, to constrict it;
prove a check on economic growth because of increased costs of transportation, utilities etc;
encourage inefficiency in the oil industry for want of competition;
disguise the cost of a tax increase as a tax cut;
ultimately, increase the national debt;
distort the most efficient allocation of resources throughout the economy by the free market because of government intervention;
Consumers (insects) need to take a back seat to producers ( wealth creators )
Bernie jumped the shark. He disclosed prices that are awful. He can’t take it back.
Bernie’s plan for turning the Republic into a third world nation.
He is a rich communist..and hoping to get filthy rich.
Not to be rude, but I’m brazenly swiping that picture. Love it!
Well there goes PA,into Trumps column.
massive lawsuits against the fossil fuel industry
Yeah, lets see...hes going to raise money by destroying the primary engine of the national economy.
Yeah, makes total sense man, can I have another hit off that?
Man, Russia be !ovin’ Bernie.
“massive lawsuits against the fossil fuel industry” won’t fund squat when you lose them after years of litigation ...
Bernie breeding a new variety of unicorns to poop golden skittles would be equally as likely to product the needed $100 trillion over the next ten years as would “massive lawsuits against the fossil fuel industry”
there are some SERIOUS math errors in this insane “plan”
one that i spotted was collecting $2.3 trillion in income taxes from those 20,000,000 new “good” jobs. Suppose a “good” new job pays $80,000/year; that would be equal to $1.6 trillion in wages, yet bernie says that will generate $2.3 trillion in new income taxes ... that’s quite a feat ... almost sounds like a “wealth” tax on the middle class ...
but my FAVORITE part of the “plan” is:
“after 2035 electricity will be virtually free, aside from operations and maintenance costs.”
no doubt, Unicorn and Rainbow power would be free ...
AND we only have to wait for 15 years from now, 11 years after bernie’s first and only term as president ...
bernie’s plan concludes with: “This is your movement”, but doesn’t elaborate on what kind of “movement” ... given bernie’s age though, i can imagine what kind of “movement” he’s obsessed with ... can anyone say “stewed prunes”?
...new taxes and massive lawsuits against the fossil fuel industry, as well as by slashing spending on the military...
Just minutes after saying he'd do it -- almost as if he'd had this ready the whole time, but was just stonewalling everyone.
According to a vid I saw from yesterday (can't find it, sorry), the debt load of the smaller oil companies in the US stops 'em dead below $50 a barrel.
