Pastor Antonio Velasquez says that before the Trump administration announced a crackdown on immigrants using government social services, people lined up before sunrise outside a state office in a largely Latino Phoenix neighborhood to sign up for food stamps and Medicaid.
No more.
'You had to arrive at 3 in the morning, and it might take you until the end of the day,' he said, pointing behind the office in the Maryvale neighborhood to show how long the lines got.
But no one lined up one recent weekday morning, and there were just a handful of people inside.
With new rules taking effect Monday that disqualify more people from green cards if they use government benefits, droves of immigrants, including citizens and legal residents, have dropped social services they or their children may be entitled to out of fear they will be kicked out of the U.S., said Velazquez and other advocates.
'This will bring more poverty, more homeless, more illness,' said Velasquez, a well-known leader among Spanish-speaking immigrants in the Phoenix area.

I talked to a guy who used to make a good living as an electrician. Illegals who are unlicensed go into a housing development, live in the house while they do the electric and then move to the next one. He can’t bid a job that cheap and no one can make a living as long as that is what they are competing against. This is why you can’t make a living hanging drywall either.
So the Dems who keep saying they want everyone to make a living wage destroy living wages with illegals and want us to pay them welfare on top of it.

Well, Antonio, why not counsel these people to go back to their native lands and suck off their own government agencies and the taxpayers of their countries who are paying for it? That way these ingrates don’t have to complain about the U.S. and they can receive the treatment they so much deserve in their own countries.
Ten percent tax on remittances the first year, twenty percent in second year, thirty percent the third year.......
Start at 3am and maybe get signed up for welfare by the end of the day?
