Ok...who is upset by the word pandemic?
In case anyone had any doubts about the utility of any UN organization whatsoever. Just another global organization corrupted by incompetent deep global statists. US out of UN and UN out of the US.
You can’t have a pandemic if the word is disappeared. Makes sense to me.
Good to see that this won’t be a pandemic after all. Wonderful job, WHO!
(between this stunt and declassifying Pluto as a planet really ticks me off)
Wake me up when 10% of the WORLDS population has been infected. Then I’ll start thinking about a pandemic.
Until then, follow good hygiene guidelines, stay away from crowds and knock off the travel to the far east.
Chocolate rations are up.
'pandemic' ?
Nyet, comrade, Nyet !
Who trusts WHO?
FWIW, I don’t.
Just when you thought that the WHO couldn’t possibly become more of a corrupt joke.
If thy word offend thee, pluck it out...Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
Oh the media loves the words pandemic, iconic, and the ever popular I digress, to try and show how intellectually superior they are.
In reality they are simply mimics, a human version of a parrot or mynah.
Read repeat, read repeat, caw caw caw.
Easy to know who “pan DEM ic” might upset....
Is this like trying to define the meaning of “is?”
I suggest that WHO change the term ‘pandemic’ to ‘happy fun sweet love time’.
That should fix things.
As Juliet once remarked, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”
WHO declared the novel coronavirus that emerged in Wuhan, China, in December a public health emergency of international concern, known as a PHEIC, on Jan. 30. The designation, which remains in place, was aimed at helping countries with weaker health systems shore up their defences, especially in Africa.
So they think Africans can understand "public health emergency of international concern" better than pandemic or something? Pandemic too fancy of a word? PHEICing racists
"WHO will instead use the new terminology - unhappy icky booboo storm"
