WASHINGTON – Former astronaut Mark Kelly, the Democratic Party’s hope for flipping a U.S. Senate seat in Arizona, tried to do no harm this month when he was asked about Sen. Bernie Sanders. “I will ultimately support who the nominee is of the Democratic Party,” he said.
That was enough for Kelly’s Republican rival, Sen. Martha McSally, R-Ariz., who is trailing him in early polls, to go on the attack. The television spot she debuted days later spent nearly as much time talking about plans by the democratic socialist from Vermont to raise taxes and award new benefits to undocumented immigrants as it did about Kelly.
As Sanders, a political independent, builds what could eventually be an insurmountable delegate lead, many Democratic House and Senate candidates are approaching a dramatic shift in their campaigns, as they recalibrate to include praise of capitalism and distance themselves from the national party. Top campaign strategists from both major parties view Sanders’ success as a potentially tectonic event, which could narrow the party’s already slim hopes of retaking the Senate majority and fuel GOP dreams of reclaiming the House, which it lost amid a Democratic romp in 2018.
“I can tell you that there are a lot of down-ballot jitters based on my conversations with my former colleagues,” said former Rep. Steve Israel, D-N.Y., a longtime confidant of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who led congressional election efforts from 2011 to 2015.
“Donald Trump is going to offer the American people this choice: Do you want to continue building the economy, or do you want to lurch toward socialism? And that is a real powerful argument in the Democratic districts that Trump won in 2016.”

Marxism is an ideology based on hatred and envy and revenge, and even the mainstream Dems aren’t far off from it. All you have to do is look at the hysteria and fury that fuels supposedly responsible, respectable Dem politicians such as Pelosi, Schiff, etc., the hatred spewing from media figures, the violent behavior of the lunatic mobs of leftist college students and young people, and the nihilistic violence of the urban “client class,” as we are now seeing in NYC and Chicago.
It’s very scary, but this is the stuff that Bernie is getting in touch with, and I don’t think the Dems are going to reject him at all. Pretty soon they’ll all be full-out, unabashed Marxists, howling for blood.

Republicans have to defend 23 seats. The RATs only 12. I might add Arizona Governor Ducey did not help by nominating McSally who already lost her first Senate election.
I might add if Republicans lose two seats control of the senate will be in name only because POS Romney and Collins of Maine will effectively become the Senate.
Then, since you live in Arizona, you should devote your time, talent and treasure to ensuring a McSally win!

It does not matter if the rest of the nation “hates” Schumer, Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, Waters and the rest, it only matters that the voters in their district likes them.
The Democrats understand this. They pander to whatever majority is in a particular district. The reason, it is a matter of numbers. Which ever party has the most members rules the House or the Senate.
So someone like Waters can be dumb as a post but the DNC does not care, all she is is a number in the Democrat column and one less number in the Republican column.
The Democrats are not going to get rid of any of them (except perhaps AOC who challenged the status quo.)
It is not the individual members that is the problem for the Democrats, it is their vision for America. Bottom line middle America does not share their vision.
For many years the Democrats were able to hide (with the help of the media) their socialist plans but now it is all out there exposed to the world.
The first step on the road of recovery would be to replace Pelosi as speaker with someone with a little more (people) skill, someone that can hide their left views and appear moderate but is there any Democrat in the House that meets those criteria? I don’t know. For now they are sinking faster then the Titanic after hitting the iceberg Trump.
A little known fact is that the SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE does not have to be a member of the house.

Given what the Dems are going to offer as a nominee, President Trump would be stupid to do otherwise. The Dems are going to have a real problem. Of course they could somehow job Sanders out of the nomination, but that risks him either going third party, which would take voters from the Dem side, or upsetting his supporters so much that they stay home on election day. What to do?

I live in N Nevada. All week long, we were told the early voting count was over 70,000.

Mr. Kelly wants the same thing as Bernie Sanders. Both are gun grabbers, guns for them but not for us. Both want to destroy the fossil fuel industry in favor of heavily subsidized wind turbine farms and solar power schemes.
Arizona has already elected one Democrat Senator - Sinema.

All you have to do is look at their voting records. Kavanaugh, Impeachment, etc. They all vote in lock step. When the FBI and the Intelligence community is fabricating evidence against a sitting President in tandem with the Democrats, the county is in a lot worst shape then you might want to admit.
