Im in a neighboring city! Why here??
Ya, take them into a jam packed major population center.
Give them to pencil neck.
Bad joke, I know. ...
I truly hope these folks get better, and real soon.
70 virus patients?
Where did these people come from? Oh yeah, from Chinese people coming to USA for salvation.
But the CDC wont test ordinary Americans with symptoms. You must have travel history from China, dont you know.
Declare them all illegal aliens...Bring Out Your Dead
...welcoming arms!
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
Idiots! Why arent the patients being moved to nearby Corona, CA (30 miles) or Corona Del Mar, CA (only 7 miles)? They would do much better in a Corona town.
They will be sending them to Trump rallies before long.
Why?
Just say NO!
Well, how racist...or discriminatory, or something.
This is rich....seeing a CALIFORNIA city trying to ban citizens.
What if they’re illegal Coronavirus patients, will that be okay, Costa Mesa??
So what is the confirmed count in the US?
Just say the infected are illegal aliens, they’ll be happy to take them.
The place is a moth-balled resident facility, formerly for developmentally-challenged people. It is fenced-in facility, with gates regulating entry and exit.
Once inside, people who have been exposed to the virus can wait out the incubation period and, hopefully, released when they demonstrate they aren’t infected. Anybody who develops symptoms would have to be evacuated to another facility (perhaps internal to this one) for treatment. Protocols would have to be developed so workers and others who enter the facility are themselves safe from the contagion and so they don’t spread the disease to the general population.
If it is at all possible, we need to keep this disease under control, because if it spreads to the general population, we will have a very bad problem on our hands.
The administration has been ahead of the curve on this virus, protecting us who are here, safeguarding those of us who have been exposed and need to be quarantined, and treating those of us who have developed symptoms. Identifying places where we can quarantine people who have been exposed is great.
Let’s us keep the nurses and others who are our front line in this battle in our prayers.
