COSTA MESA (CBSLA) – Costa Mesa is trying to block as many as 70 confirmed coronavirus patients from being transferred to the city.
Federal court papers filed Friday state that the federal government plans to transfer the patients from Travis Air Force Base near Sacramento to the former Fairview Development Center on Sunday.

I’m in a neighboring city! Why here??My friend, in the Fairfield area, told me these people were quarantined at the Travis transient hotel. They erected a chain link fence around it, and posted armed guards around it. I don’t know where they go when they leave Travis.

I read in the Spokesman-Review a few days ago that there are 11 hospitals with the necessary isolation wards. But it sounded like the 11 hospitals had an average of something like 11 isolation beds. So apparently there aren’t many isolation units with the necessary levels of containment in the entire country.
