Spot on post.

I’ll add that all three branches, while engaged in intramural spats over which of them gets which power, all three are in cahoots against the constitution. The federal over-reach is massive.

As do I you.

I will have to learn to live with it.

As long as Bill Barr just ignores him, as if he has no affect on the job he has to do, then the perception of being swayed by the statements of the President has plausible deniability.

So who else in the administration should just ignore presidential directives? Barr alone? Or other cabinet secretaries.

When you state it as you do then you are playing into the hands of the enemy.

LOL! Disagreeing with you is playing into the hands of the enemy? No lack of ego on your part obviously.

When you just ignore what the President says and quietly do your job, then no one can prove that the President swayed your opinion.

If you cannot follow your employers instructions then you need to find another line of work.

“Moralized hysteria” is a fundamental part of woke culture.

Barr’s pathetic whining at Trump instead of being outraged at the corruption in his own department has already betrayed his weakness. Barr’s complete failure to so much as indict a single person is telegraphing an epic failure of leadership.

Leaders don’t whine; they win.

*********************************

I am hoping that it’s a setup. That Barr and Trump are making it look like there’s a rift between them, just to throw off the rats before the hammer comes down. Perhaps just wishful thinking on my part, but a girl can dream, can’t she?

Yup-It’s always the same. If liberals can’t sail the ship-they will foul the rigging.

“Barr needs to get off his bag pipes and indict some people, or nobody will every trust the FBI, DOJ, EPA, IRS, or federal government as independent agencies. Nobody (rightly so) should trust the CIA”.

I agree. I believe Barr knows that if the DS gets away with this, there will be a next time, and next time will make this time look like child’s play.

Next time, they’ll go full Stalin/Hitler on our asses. From top to bottom.

Well now I see your mistake, you believe it was a directive. In no way did President Trump direct AG Bill Barr what to do. He merely tweeted out his opinion regarding the issue to his twitter followers. Apparently Bill Barr saw it as a directive as well. Both of you are wrong, and obviously do not know President Trump, as well as, you think you know him. In no way was his tweet meant to be viewed as a directive to anyone, but rather what it was, his opinion on the case.

How many members of his administration has Trump fired via Twitter? Are you suggesting they weren't really fired?

The President communicates his wishes in a number of ways, and Tweeting is one of them. Trumps Tweet was a reflection of how he felt Barr should act, and Barr did so when he reduced the recommended sentencing guidelines. If Barr can't continue to follow directions regardless of how Trump chooses to communicate them then he needs to find another line of work. The President has a right to expect members of his administration to follow his orders.

Both of you are wrong, and obviously do not know President Trump, as well as, you think you know him.

And you are what? The Trump Whisperer?

When the majority of Americans no longer trust the government, it means either we no longer trust those we elect to abide by the system or we no longer trust the system, our Constitutional Republic. Perhaps, the biggest divide today is that we conservatives distrust our politicians while the left wants to destroy the system. Trump needs to face Sanders in November. He needs to do that, to annihilate him and the left for many years to come.

The cabal failed this time but they took away some ‘lessons learned’ and they will not repeat the same mistakes next time.

I think you’re right; given another opportunity they will go midieval on us.

Now you are being ridiculous. All who have been fired were fired in person, then the President mentioned it on twitter.

You are correct, he mentions his wishes on twitter, he makes no directive. Big difference.

Trumps Tweet was a reflection of how he felt Barr should act, and Barr did so when he reduced the recommended sentencing guidelines.

So now you have the power to discern what the President's intentions were, like the Democrats and their witnesses they brought forth in the impeachment?

Since he did not say Mr. Barr here is what I want you to do, then the claim cannot be made that his intention was to direct AG Bill Barr as to what to do. In fact he never even stated Bill Barr's name at all. Can one assume that he was talking to the powers that be a, as well as, his followers? Yeah, but that should have zero affect on how Bill Barr carries out his job.

And you are what? The Trump Whisperer?

Not al all, just using the facts available without making up facts that do not exist. Try it some time.

“I do make his job harder. I do agree with that. I think that’s true. He’s a very straight shooter. We have a great Attorney General, and he’s working very hard. And he’s working against a lot of people that don’t want to see good things happen, in my opinion. [...] he’s a man with great integrity. The Attorney General is a man with incredible integrity.” - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3817571/posts

Very good points.

Technology in the wrong hands is/can be a horrible thing.

We can’t go on much longer trying to peacefully coexist with people who are a threat to, among other things, our freedom, security and prosperity.

I don’t know how we can easily separate from them.
