On Nov. 18, 2019, The Hill announced it was reviewing John Solomon's opinion columns on Ukraine after State Department diplomats criticized several of those columns during House impeachment hearings.
This review was conducted independently by The Hills news staff under the direction of Editor-in-Chief Bob Cusack.
The Hill established working panels for each of 14 relevant pieces that appeared on TheHill.com. These working groups analyzed and discussed the columns at length, looking at possible corrections and/or context that could have been added at the time of the writings. In addition, The Hill reviewed congressional testimony and other public documentation related to Solomon's columns, as well as related media reports, to add editor's notes to the columns regarding what has been learned since the columns were posted by The Hill. The Hill also reviewed its editorial policies and processes.
Solomon has responded to critics during television appearances, on Twitter and on his podcast. The Hill has included some of his relevant public remarks in this report.

John Solomon has an opinion.
The Deep State will crush him for that.
If you Google “John Solomon” you will come away with the impression he does nothing but advance debunked conspiracy theories about Ukraine. This is one method the Left uses to deflect the truth about the crimes their side has committed.
When you own the Brown Shirt Media you can claim whatever you like. When the dogs stop eating it you have a problem.
That’s why I NEVER use google.
It’s Startpage.com for me, even though they have a connection with google, as ALL search engines do, it is THE MOST PRIVATE ONE AROUND.
Whenever the Left uses the term “debunked” to describe an allegation, the allegation is most probably true.
I tried Duckduckgo, but mostly get the same biased results as Google. Very disappointing. I’ll have a look at Startpage.com.
It doesn’t take a genius to know that they would be “coming for” John Solomon.
John is the one true reporter in this country and I knew it was just a matter of time before they would try to stop him.
I still am a strong supporter of John Solomon.
He is one in a million...literally.
Agreed. That word, “debunked” is the word the Left-wing storm troopers have been instructed to use when confronting the Truth. Goosestepping foot soldiers they are.
The deep state again rides roughshod over the public’s right to know.
I don't think they laid a glove on him.
An opinion writer adding new information as an investigative reporter is hardly a mortal journalistic trespass.
So what!
I hope you are not disappointed, they still have the biased info, but I pick and choose what is believable.
I, actually was in contact with people at startpage and they seem to be very nice, with very little agenda.
But the privacy is what interested me.
Ask them, “In this context, what does the word “debunked” mean?”
Deer. Headlights.
They are programmed only to repeat the word “debunked” when a follow up question is asked. They are drones, automatons, and robots, with no ability to think or reason. And there are millions of them, poised to destroy our liberties.
Why are they dedicating those sort of resources to this effort? To destroy Solomon, of course. The media doesn't like the Solomon narrative because it hurts their credibility who are peddling a complete different narrative. They are lying for Biden and the Democrats and are in cahoots with the rest of the media.
I have noticed that Solomon has essentially disappeard from the media since he left the Hill. He is no longer on Fox News, his articles no longer appear on Free Repubic, and do don't see him on You Tube. He has been silenced.
The government complained and a newspaper decided to censor their journalist? Just wrong on so many levels.
I don’t think Solomon has been silenced. I think he is doing more investigative work on the State Dept. They are going to wish they hadn’t kicked over that hornet’s nest.
Would like to know Your opinion, I see a pattern with posters who put something up and nary a peep about why they post the things they do and where they stand...
But the content belies the real intent
Fascinating
I believe it’s a DS hit piece on Solomon, hence the notation in the title.
No subjects of Solomon's columns contacted The Hill to demand corrections, clarifications or retractions when the columns were posted with one exception: Daria Kaleniuk, co-founder and executive director of Ukraine's nonprofit Anti-Corruption Action Centre (AntAC), wrote an April 2, 2019, column, rebutting Solomon's criticism of AntAC and the U.S. embassy's role in anti-corruption efforts.
