The Justice Department pushed back Tuesday night at multiple reports claiming Attorney General William Barr told people close to him hes considering stepping down over President Trumps tweets, days after Barr admitted that Trumps tweeting made it impossible for me to do my job.
Addressing Beltway rumors: The Attorney General has no plans to resign, DOJ spokeswoman Kerri Kupec tweeted.
Barr has his limits, one person familiar with Barrs thinking told The Washington Post.
Its report suggested that Barr wanted Trump to get the message to stop weighing in publicly in ongoing criminal cases. An administration official gave a similar admission on Barr to The Associated Press.

Oh, and all of us thank you.
FR is a unique place that all of us should value.
Have you seen anyone indicted yet?
What makes you think the Deep State is not winning with Barr in place?
*****
Im not saying either way. Eisenhower may have been the last POTUS to address the Deep State when during his farewell address he warned of the growing power of industrial/military complex. Anyway, Im willing to wait awhile and see what Durham and Barr come up with. I do believe that theyre our best hope for the foreseeable future.
maybe our President should put Tom Fitton in as AG.
.....just thinking. And I have been supportive of Barr.
I guess that person is a mind reader?
Ok. Trump gets reelected . The first thing he should do is tell the 100 or so FBI agents that he wants them off the payroll by the end of the year or face a lot of legal bills. That will convince me. It’s the Lieutenants that run with this stuff. They need to be nipped in the bud.
Or Durham is Barr’s Huber.
The next Great Pumpkin after the IG report and Huber.
@ Swirl..you do realize Trump cannot fire people not in his administration.
___________
LOL ...... that's a good enough reason, alright.
Thanks for the info - when I actually believe folks haven’t donated (you have asserted you do in the past), I also include a link to the Donate area.
Sometimes I can’t help but to relate some statements as they relate to far too many FReepers...
Perhaps DIRTYSECRET could use one:
https://freerepublic.com/donate/
dirtysecret says he’s donated finally.
See #78.
I agree with your tag line and felt obligated to help fund the place since signing up.
FR is a unique place and would hate to see it go away.
The press is trying to take out Trump’s most effective weapon against leftist propaganda...his tweets.
Hope you’re right but time is not on our side.

They have a willing partner in the GOP. Barr and McConnell both ran to TV cameras hours apart to attack President Trump last week. That is not a coincidence.
Barr went on a liberal news channel and proceeded to say that Trump made it impossible to do his job. He is either the biggest snowflake around or he is Deep State with his long term friend Mueller.
I am leaning towards true unless he comes out and says he never told anyone he was thinking about it.
Im pretty much the opposite - until I hear it from their own mouth, Ill assume its fake, or at least taken out of context. Especially, when the so-called source is bogus sounding, as in this case: ...according to someone familiar with his thinking.
Which is not to say I doubt the possibility of it turning out to be true. Nothing surprises me anymore. This particular rumor could easily turn out to have been true, but it could also easily turn out to be made up, or exaggerated.
I wouldnt put it past Barr or anyone else to let it slip that he was thinking of quitting..it happens.
But I also wouldnt put it past people in the DOJ or the media to purposely start a rumor or take a comment out of context in order to instigate a fight or in order to support the old fake news narrative that Trumps administration is in chaos...it happens.
Yes, the media is trying to make things look bad.
As always.
They know the Democrats are in big trouble.
Gosh - he gave a one-time (ever) donation of $100....and it seems more like a “Y’all can’t call me a deadbeat now” deal rather than a sense of responsibility...good he gave something but I wouldn’t be a referral for him for .....anything.
I semi-lurked for a few years with sporadic donations and decided that FR was worth supporting and have donated every month since.
I can be a blunt tool and have had to apologize to some every now and then, but the spirit is to keep FR viable.
No more time than it takes to put those away on the street who are afforded good council. What do you expect when the swamp is full of creatures communicating with one another? Did you just imagine these thugs would give it up just because they're caught red handed? That's just not how they role.....
I think you might have difficulty accepting their game is played on a whole different board then the one the average citizen plays on, the stakes are much higher, the losses as well, and they play for keeps one way or another.
At best we're just spectators in back row seats. But if you know the players, their coaches and are privy to were they huddle and with whom, you can get a broad picture of the game.
Fair post caww. Sorry if I sounded short with you buddy. We all want the same thing - real justice.
