Trump commuted the remainder of Blagojevichs 14-year prison term. the Illinois Democrat had begun serving that sentence in 2013 after he was found guilty of attempting to trade the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama for money or favors.
The president announced that he had issued pardons to Kerik and DeBartolo.
Kerik, who oversaw the NYPD during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, pleaded guilty in 2009 to charges of felony tax fraud and lying to the government. He was released from federal prison in 2013.

If it corrects anything Mueller did, I’m all for it. Too bad Martha Stewart got on Trump’s bad side, I’d love to see her pardoned as well. That was a Comey case.
President Trump should pardon every person that mueller ever convicted.
Agree Stewart should be pardoned.
One a day ..for however long it takes..:)
I understand the President's pardon powers. However, I disagree with Trump's decision on this. When elected representatives sell nominations, the sentence should be VERY long. The same for felony tax evasion.
Kerik served his sentence...already.
The word in the article is Attempted..
None the less I agree that if that is an acceptable practice in their minds then it must be stomped out, no matter which party they claim
Comey was the one who did in Martha Stewart? She was very unfairly convicted, and although she’s a Dem (Polish-American working class background), what they hated about her was that she told just ordinary working people that they could make their lives beautiful and their dinner parties could be as good as anybody’s.
The Dems hate equality, because it messes up their whole pitch. They love misery and resentment.
Well, at least he learned a trade. He knows how to make license plates.
He served 8 years in prison and I personally think that’s appropriate.
Compare that to what others serve for violent crimes and it appears relatively steep actually.
Actually around 50% of the recent Illinois Governors have apprenticed in the states license plate manufacturing program.
Things need to be scaled down, ie , a 9 year sentence down to 9 month sentence.
Blago didnt do anything other governors havent done.
Dees guys, ya know, dey owe sumbody a favor or two now...
DeBartolo continues to damage State of Florida middle class homeowners with his company's corruptive relationship with the Sheriff of Hillsborough County. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister is DeBartolo's son-in-law!
Chronister has refused to allow his deputies to enforce speeding, reckless driving, littering, illegal dumping, illegal employment, code enforcement, and property crime laws against criminal illegal aliens violating those laws while they reside in Hillsborough County.
These illegals are employed under the table by the hundreds of sub-contractors doing business in the construction industry in West Central Florida. There is no e-Verify here.
For those who may not know, DeBartolo is a mall constructor with a net worth approaching that of PDJT's.
We can't even get a traffic light or a crosswalk installed on our community street, to protect pedestrian homeowners from rampant speeding cars and trucks trying to shave a few seconds off their commute time.
The sheer number of animals and birds killed by speeding drivers on our street, which runs through a zoned conservation area, is a disgrace.
This is the tyranny of a society with values unshared.
The pardoned Governor probably has some dirt on Obama.
After making NASCAR fans happy this weekend, doing well by a famous and beloved NFL owner and a former police chief of NYC, should boost Trumps rating with lots of folks.
I wonder if the former NYC police chief might even have some dirt on Hillary or Bloomberg?
This could be a masterful stroke of “the art of the deal.”
As someone who lives next to ILL,
WTF? What the ACTUAL F#$K?
Is this a deal with the Obama faction to take someone out?
Because Blago sold Obama his senate seat, and ultimately his path to the white house.
So quite frankly this had better be a life and death deal with Trump, because it looks like Trump just cut a corrupt politician loose.
His ratings dropped with me.
Makes me wonder what will happen if Trump gets a second term.
“it looks like Trump just cut a corrupt politician loose”
That’s what we thought, and couldn’t figure out why PDJT did it. Blago was bad.
(I wonder if Trump considered pardoning everyone that McCabe had a hand in imprisoning. It could send an interesting message. What’s good for the goose...)
“Kerik served his sentence...already.”
Right. He’s been on FNC a lot lately — especially on Judge Jeanine, I think.
