Bloomberg Blows It, Says Elderly Should Not Get Medical Care to Save Money

Michael Bloomberg may have just lost his shot to get the Democrat’s 2020 nomination based on a resurfaced video in which he says the elderly should not get full medical care in order to save money.

Here’s a partial transcript via Newsbusters:

“If you’re bleeding, we’ll stop the bleeding. If you need an x-ray, you’re gonna have to wait,” Bloomberg told a Jewish family, explaining his view on how our medical system should work.

“All of these costs keep going up, no one wants to pay any more money,” he continued. “And at the rate we’re going, health care is going to bankrupt us. So not only do we have a problem, it’s gonna be [unintelligible] and say which things we’re gonna do and which things we’re not. No one wants to do that.”

“If you show up with prostate cancer, and you’re 95 years old, we should say, ‘Go and enjoy…Lead a long life. There’s no cure, we can’t do anything.’ A young person, we should do something about it. Society’s not willing to do that yet.”

I’m really happy he said this but if you recall, Obama said much the same about telling grandma to take a pill rather than surgery and that didn’t seem to matter. I would ask any Bloomberg supporter to consider the 95 year old prostate cancer patient was their father or grandfather and how they would feel about his remarks. Additionally, is it just 95? How about 85, 75, 65 or a newborn with a congenital disease? Oh how the left loves to place value on a life’s contributory stages rather than the individual life, itself. Commie ba$tard.
