Find memories of VAFB...

Remember the deer mowing down the bushes near my window.

Yo radu!

We seem to be squeaking by with no more snow this winter, just bright, sunny skies, but still cold. The morning sun blazing through my windows feels marvelous! (And cuts down on the heating bill).

Howz things with you and the lovely kittehs?

A beautiful area of CA. I loved visiting Lompoc and Santa Maria. And David took me on a tour to the amazing Hearst Estate north of there.

Was in Vandenberg in the mid 80’s for doing fit checks of the processing facility and launch pad with Enterprise. We were going to launch shuttles from SLC 6. Would have been pretty sporty if it ever would have happened. West coast launches were cancelled after Challenger.

Howdy, PRO!

I got caught up in a good TV show and am just now getting back here.

Glad you’re missing out on snow so far. I’d say a lot of other folks in the northern tier wish they could be so lucky.

We had FOUR dry days in a row here but that ends later tonight. Not gonna be a washout but any rain is too much these days.
At least it isn’t too cold so I won’t complain .....
much. :-)

Just got back from tonight’s concert at a private home. Beethoven’s “Hunt” Sonata in E-flat (Op. 31/3) and his String Quartet in C (Op. 59/3) were on the menu, besides some fine food. Great evening.

Well, we got a new plastic covering for the window yesterday. The new one is due to arrive today. The plastic covering protects outside elements from coming in.
