Can anyone explain how this is even possible?
I would assume it is a side effect of a spyware program, designed to monitor certain airfields.
“Can anyone explain how this is even possible?”
It’s a mystery. Our tech overlords have assured us that their overcomplicated, untestable crapola is the greatest thing ever.
And much better than the old stuff that was proven to work.
But the old stuff isn’t high tech, and modern, and cutting edge, and transformative, and disruptive, and woke, and innovative, and cool, and outside the box, and... (insert endless tech marketing BS here)
I'd guess that some set of unusual conditions caused the software to crash, as opposed to the software deliberately turning off the displays. Perhaps a situation where it crashes when conditions A,B,C,D, and E are all true but that condition E is only very rarely true and they didn't account for that possibility. I don't know, it's just a generic guess, but if it's repeatable, it won't take long to figure it out.
