Klobuchar was one of 17 Democrats to support a 2007 amendment that would have reversed President Bill Clinton’s executive order requiring federal agencies to provide materials in languages other than English. It passed 64-33, but the larger immigration bill died.
The amendment’s sponsor, Oklahoma Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe, said after the June 2007 vote that the amendment was about “preserving our culture and heritage” and would “send a message to all those who have come to our country and all those who will immigrate here in the future that English is the language of our land.”
Klobuchar joined other moderate Democrats and Democrats from red states, like Montana Sen. Max Baucus and North Dakota Sen. Kent Conrad, in voting yes. Among those who voted no were 2020 candidates Bernie Sanders, a senator from Vermont, and Joe Biden, then a senator from Delaware. Barack Obama, then a senator from Illinois, and Harry Reid, then a senator from Nevada, also voted no.
“I think that when you look at a state like this state, and a country like ours that is so diverse, you don’t want to have that provision in law because then it would be very difficult to have, say, government documents and other things translated into other languages,” she said Friday. “So that is not a position I take. I did vote that way, but way back then, along with many other people.”
“I embrace immigrants,” Klobuchar said following a tour of the Culinary Health Center, which serves members of the majority female and Latino Culinary Union, among the most powerful union in Nevada politics.

When the GOP took the House with Newt one of the contract items was making English the official language. They didn’t do it and the opportunity was lost. It was the last shot. It will never pass now, never.

This should be part of a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1987 ONE TIME amnesty. The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1987 goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.
Klobitchar is a political creature, not “Minnesota Nice” at all. She’s no less repulsive than Hillary, just better at self-editing so it doesn’t show.
It that ONE provision was enforced, no illegal alien could have been hired and the 'migration' would have slowed to a drip because they knew they couldn't be hired.
Just the opposite happened. 'Migration' increased.
Everyone, 'migrants', employers, and politicians knew employee verification wasn't being enforced.

On the one minute I saw excerpted of Outnumbered a while ago they vocally demanded Brian Killmeade shut his mouth immediately when he tried to say Nancy Pelosi's emotions were overriding her judgment and leading her to make bad impeachment and speech page tearing decisions. He had to shut up. Taboos cannot be broken on TV.
