WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Education announced today it is launching investigations into both Harvard and Yale Universities after it appears both Ivy League higher education institutions potentially failed to report hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign gifts and contracts.
In recent weeks, the Department discovered Yale University may have failed to report at least $375 million in foreign gifts and contracts, choosing not to report any gifts and contracts over the last four years.
The Department is also concerned Harvard University may *** [have] failed to report fully all foreign gifts and contracts as required by law. This comes after Dr. Charles Lieber, chair of Harvard University’s Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department, was indicted for lying about his involvement with the Chinese government’s Thousand Talents Plan and admitting that Harvard lacks adequate institutional controls for effective oversight and tracking of very large donations.

To get a more comprehensive understanding of Hanban’s spending in the United States, the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations requested financial records from 100 U.S. schools and found Hanban directly contributed $113,428,509 to U.S schools—more than seven times the amount U.S. schools actually reported (Senate Report at p. 70).

I hope there are some significant penalties for these universities failing to make proper reporting.
On the human scale, universities do far, far more damage to a free republic than they contribute.
Soon, very soon, they’ll all be consigned to the dustbin of history. And, they’ll have no one to blame but themselves.

So what if they don’t report? There won’t be any consequences of any kind. There never are.
All these “investigations” and reports are totally useless exercises.
It absolutely amazes me how lax we are about intellectual, technical, and military espionage these days. It’s almost like we are trying to be bad.
Of course, with the amount of money that’s coming in, and not knowing who are the recipients of said money, or what agencies and institutions they are compromising, I guess maybe we effectively ARE trying to be bad at this.
Put both universities out of business.

Harvard & Yale are so well connected in D.C. that I don’t see anything detrimental coming their way.
At best a small fine.
You should never donate to a major US college. They are bought and paid for by the Chinese and other foreign governments. You pay huge amounts to go to school. But your kid is not the real business of most Universities. Its China. They research for China. They train Chinese grad students. They buy professors. China has bought our University system decades ago. And your little donation may be cute. But its nothing compared to the serious money coming in from China.
The US government is fighting back in their way. If you want to train your kid to be a technical CIA or military agent, send your kid to Northeastern, Stevens or Hopkins. The US government has put a lot of money in certain schools to train US technical people. Its a good thing but they are not meant to go to Google. These people are wanted by our military. And they even have satellite campus’s in DC. If your child’s dream is to be a spook. Try sending that child to one of these schools.

So, these education institutions not only allowed cultural Marxists to infiltrate them from the 1950’s on (Columbia U was the HQ for that), they also take scores of $$$ millions from foreign countries to support their indoctrination and secret-selling programs.
Seems to be clearly unAmerican activity.
Fine then for not reporting. Tax that money at the capital gains rate. Withhold all federal funding for five years. Review their teachings for anti-American content.
No intent, no foul.

That’s what I’m thinking.
There are over 360,000 Chinese students in our universities stealing scientific and technological advances that were created by Americans. They are sitting in seats that rightfully belong to the sons and daughters
of the people who built this country. The Atheist Communist worldview could not, in a million years, have given mankind the unbelievable cultural and technological glory of
the Judeo-Christian world view. But, here they are, a regime dedicated
to world domination and our destruction sucking the lifeblood out of our scientific and business future. Bill Clinton gave them our nuclear knowledge and ballistic secrets for nothing. He was a true Leftist. He famously said, “I loath the military.” And he sure did a lot of damage to it; when he wasn’t being serviced by an intern in the people’s Oval Office.
Since then his friends in academia have funneled the brightest minds of our young into Queer Theory and Feminist fisting technique in our universities. How about the thousands of Iranian students in our schools; and the Pakistanis, who constantly hold rallies where they scream for the “Death to America, Death to Israel!” We also send these countries who hate us Billions of dollars of aid $$$. Why are we tolerating the destruction of this
Country? Somebody tell me.
