Andrew McCabe, Ex-F.B.I. Official, Will Not Be Charged in Lying Case
The New York Times ^ | 14 Feb 2020 | Adam Goldman

The decision to decline charges appears to be a move to distance the Justice Department from President Trump, who has long attacked Mr. McCabe.

Andrew G. McCabe, the former deputy F.B.I. director and a frequent target of President Trump, will not face charges in an investigation into whether he lied to investigators about a media leak, his defense team said on Friday.

The decision by prosecutors in Washington ends a case that had left Mr. McCabe in legal limbo for nearly two years. It also appears to be a sign that Attorney General William P. Barr wants to show that the Justice Department is independent from Mr. Trump: The notification came a day after Mr. Barr publicly challenged the president to stop attacking law enforcement officials on Twitter and said the criticisms were making his job more difficult.

No point when there are much more serious charges for him.

What? This rat should be indicted and sent to jail. While in jail he can think and we still can bring further charges against him. Barr is acting suspicious.

For CYA reasons alone, the prosecutors should have taken this to a grand jury.

If civilian justice won’t work will military justice be invoked?

To me the failure to prosecute the obviously guilty McCabe is a bad sign.

McCabe was the “low hanging fruit” who LIED and is used often as an example of corruption by conservatives.

The Durham and Barr had better bring someone to justice—fast. But if they are Sessions style wimps or Deep State good ol’ boys then the anti-civil war II side will have lost its ammo belt in the river. Two tiered justice will have won. No society can exist with that.

‘There is no justice’

I have quit saying that on this site...had been saying it for months...but have been severely criticized for doing it and saying it so many times that there is a TWO TIERED ( JUSTICE JUST_US) SYSTEM in US - them - protected and the rest of us - SCREWED!!! TIME for _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ !

Fill in the blanks!

You can’t drain the swamp when you continue to superfund it. The ‘swamp’ gets what it wants, more money and more power.

"I wonder (hope?) this was in exchange for a flip?"

Against Comey? Perhaps even Brennan? Or both?

It's the only situation that would even remotely make this "palatable."

If I remember correctly, President-elect Donald Trump was publicly stating that it would be best to let Hillary Clinton off the hook for her criminal conduct -- within just one or two days of his election in 2016.

And this was after he spent months running around on the campaign trail, telling his supporters that she should be in jail.

If President Trump wants to get to the source of the problem here with our apparent "two-tiered justice system," he might want to take a good, hard look in the mirror.

This is actually an excellent way to get Trump to shut the hell up regarding tweets. Not that tweeting is not his strength, but it can also be his weakness.

And I suspect this allows Barr to be more agressive with the “big fish” charges without CNN constantly badgering him about being trump’s “wingman”, as Holder was for Obama.

"Trump should pardon Stone...Pappadopolis...and Flynn immediately...and commute Maniforts sentence..."

Indeed, he must!

It would at least begin to ever so slightly move the scales of justice back to where they belong.

Why do we pay taxes, why do we stop for blue lights when targeted for traffic tickets, why do we accept tickets, why do we show up in court, why do we serve on juries, why why why....do we support a govt that works for others but only steals our money to keep them going....yes we do it cause we would be in jail if we didn’t - right!

Are they going to jail 63 million people if they all stopped participating in the charade called a govt for only part of the people?

Just kidding asking these questions....ya know!????
