Former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., have seen a recent surge in the 2020 race after the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary, but a new report suggests that the way mainstream media outlets describe the two candidates is not accurate.
The Media Research Center's NewsBusters project collected some examples of the news coverage Buttigieg and Klobuchar have received in recent weeks that depicts them as "moderates" and juxtaposed those clips with ones that describe their policies.
"Bernie Sanders won the progressive primary there in Iowa and Pete Buttigieg won the moderate one," MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd said, later adding that Buttigieg "took votes" from "other moderates" Klobuchar and former Vice President Joe Biden.

It is all relative. Compared to Sanders and Warren, Fidel Castro was a moderate.

The enemedia is just moving the goalposts; by their own admission, the radical Kenyan Pirate would be too conservative for today’s Dem base - and he only left office three years ago!
They’ve commandeered our language; at this point if you don’t embrace open borders, “gay marriage”, abortion-on-demand, Medicae for all (ALL of these positions), you’re “right-wing”.
Relatively speaking, they are moderates- they comb their hair.
They and Obama are all communists. The difference is that Hussein has a brain.
If you read political topics on non political forums, the conventional wisdom of the resident leftists is always that Obama was a conservative. That’s the gaslighting they are always spreading around, that Murica doesn’t really understand what a commie is, we’re just to dumb to grasp the nuance.
They are working on a new Dem meme. “Anybody but Bernie—and we’ll whitewash the socialism off the winner.”
Sorry, but that's just not correct. Klobuchar and Buttigieg are just as socialist at Sanders, it's just that they aren't as honest about it.
For example, Sanders' lifetime voting record is actually more conservative than Klobuchar's. Sanders gets a lifetime conservative rating of 6.78% from the ACU while Kubuchar's lifetime rating is 4.70%.
Obama basically installed “healthcare for all” (with IRS enforcers) and “gay marriage” - and he’s a “conservative” now?
Oh, please; do these people have memories that only go back a couple of years?
