Lets state some facts: Michael Rubens Bloomberg notoriously expanded stop-and-frisk in New York City to obscene proportions, violating the bodies and constitutional rights of mostly minority men and boys, and not only defended the policy, but mocked his detractors and bragged about it.
What Bloomberg did as mayor amounted to a police occupation of minority neighborhoods, a terroristic pressure campaign, with little evidence that it was accomplishing the goal of sustained, long-term crime reduction.
Nearly 90 percent of the people stopped were completely innocent. He knew that. They were the collateral damage in his crusade, black and brown bodies up against walls and down on the ground, groped in the middle of the city by strange men with guns, a vast expanse of human psychological wreckage about which he couldnt care less.
A recording from a speech Bloomberg delivered at the Aspen Institute in 2015 underscores just how callous and cavalier he was in his thinking about this racist policy.
Ninety-five percent of your murders murderers and murder victims fit one M.O., Bloomberg said. You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, 16 to 25. Thats true in New York. Thats true in virtually every city.
He goes on to say: One of the unintended consequences is, people say, Oh my God, you are arresting kids for marijuana, theyre all minorities. Yes, thats true. Why? Because put all the cops in minority neighborhoods. Yes, thats true. Why do we do it? Because thats where all the crime is.
Later he says, The way you get the guns out of the kids hands is to throw them against the wall and frisk them.

Actually it is not true. 95% is a gross overestimation, that’s why it is really a racist statement. I think it is around 70% which of course is terrible. But that extra 20% means a lot to the black community. Also, I think there was a stat by the police where 90% of the people stopped were innocent.
Reverse race and imagine if thousands of white people were thrown up against the wall and frisked for no reason other than skin color (with 9 out of 10 innocent). Let’s just forget the Fourth Amendment guarantee against unreasonable searches and seizures. This is not the America I would want to live in. We are either for civil liberties or we are not.
Also, you better not drink a soda over 16oz. Also let’s regulated trans fats, and barred the philanthropic donation of fresh bagels and other foodstuffs to the needy in homeless shelters because the salt, fat, and fiber content.
Notorious MRB, also known by his street name, “Soda Pop” after he stopped, frisked and jailed his arch rival, Corn Pop.
This is what happens when you give the heart, soul, and mind of the Democrat political machine to hard left identity politics ideologues.
Interesting, I had heard he was also a real sexist pig. Looked at pretty women in his building and say in a loud voice, “I would do her.” I even heard other more “hostile work environment” things about him.
Considering how much most working democrats like to vilianize the rich, this should be very interesting to watch as some try to swallow hard to get him to beat Bernie.
I wonder how they are going to down play his 3 terms as the REPUBLICAN mayor of NYC? Yes, Bloomberg is good but Sanders is not a Democrat and can't be their nominee.
Charles Blows
Why does the NYT want black people to die?
He started a very successful business in the financial information sector. He worked very, very hard and beat a lot of entrenched competition with a really good idea.
I do believe Bloomberg with all his money will wind up as the Democrat nominee. No way will the party elites allow Bernie the nomination and create the debacle of losing an overabundance of congressional races with a commie fronting the ticket.
LOLOL!!
Soon we will see the propaganda press claim that everyone who supported Stop and Frisk ( Giuliani , Trump) is the same as Bloomberg. That is a lie.
Thank you for that important clarification. My comments were partly serous, partly ironic. I think you are right.
The New York POST loved this arrogant bastard when he was Mayor. Dont understand why so many love to post that rag here.
Don’t forget, Bloomberg said he had his own private army in the NYPD, the seventh largest in the world..
That tells everyone what a “can’t wait to be a dictator” creep he is.
Of course; as he was hunting the 10% that were not INNOCENT!
Don't know; but it sounds as though it'll help him in the general!
You need me on that wall.
You WANT me on that wall...
