Of course Trump will smell the weakness from a mile off and demand a deal that Cuomo can’t live with because he really won’t be able to live the the deal coming down the road at him.

Upstate NY, in the areas where people and businesses bordering Canada that most use NEXUS already are strongly anti-Cuomo. Not sure what he is thinking.
Having said that, Buffalo and Niagara Falls (city) are blue dots in a sea of red. I wonder if Democrat Congressman Higgins is asking Cuomo for a favor?
In order to become a "Trusted Traveler" the government must be sure that you're a "solid citizen"...and a clean DMV record is part of being a "solid citizen".
IIRC the State of New York issues drivers licenses that can act as passports to cross the US/Canadian border.IIRC several states do...those states being close to the Canadian border.
Concede nothing to Cuomo, nothing! And I say this as a NYer with a Global Entry card that is up for renewal in 2022.
Speaking of Fredo, Trump is coming to “set him straight”.
I think Cuomo’s actions here are being driven more by liberal air travelers in the NYC area than by U.S.-Canada border crossers.

Precisely what happened. Cuomo caved to them. Cuomo could care f-all about the others. When a violent illegal alien criminal who was on a release that ICE was not notified on. When he kills, rapes, assaults someone he is will be doing this in his own community. Not against white Americans, though this happens too. CUOMO could care less about this.

I’m seeing Governor Cuomo today at The White House. He must understand that National Security far exceeds politics. New York must stop all of its unnecessary lawsuits & harrassment, start cleaning itself up, and lowering taxes. Build relationships, but don’t bring Fredo!

If I were advising the president, I would tell him not to cave in on ANYTHING regarding disagreements with Cuomo.
