Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib told Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell that he “has the authority” to bail out the governments of Detroit and Puerto Rico.

In 1975 President Ford told NYC that there would be no federal bailout. The city needed to make the hard choices, cut costs and programs, not expect others to bail them out.
