Eight Republican Senators voted with the Dems. to advance a resolution that would limit Trumps ability to use military action against Iran unless Congress says its okay.
The resolution was introduced by Virginia Democrat Senator Tim Kaine.
We should not be at war with Iran unless Congress votes to authorize such a war, Tim Kaine said.
As expected Mitt Pierre Delecto Romney, Murkowski, Susan Collins and Lamar Alexander were among the 8 Republicans who voted with Dems.
Via The Daily Caller:
The U.S. Senate voted Wednesday to advance a War Powers resolution which would limit President Donald Trumps ability to use military action against Iran without approval from Congress.
The vote was bipartisan, 51-45, with eight Republicans voting with Democrats. The eight Republicans included Utah Sen. Mike Lee, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander, Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy, Kansas Sen. Jerry Moran, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, and Indiana Sen. Todd Young.
President Trump will likely veto this War Powers measure just like he did last year.

What a hopeless bunch....
Pretty much the usual suspects. It amounts to nothing.

Round up the usual suspects..........................
The usual suspects....
ANY ‘Republican’ senator who sides with Tim Kaine on ANY issue - except, perhaps, ‘water is wet’ - needs the boot
What’s with these losers. You’d think they would read the Constitution. I guess they are mainly collecting a check and a rosy retirement.
Free Republic is littered with isolationist anti war types.
For there to some Republican Senators that are isolationist is normal
I am fairly isolationist but I still don’t think it makes sense to limit the executive’s constitutional authority. Fix bad decisions at the ballet box or for Congress with the purse strings.
After everything the leftists put this country through, the Pubs still havent learned how to distinguish between friend and foe.
Looks like I need to update my Bush League Republican list.
FreeRepublic is littered with pro-war interventionist types.
One thing you will NEVER see: ...eight Democrats voting with Republicans...
From the party that likes to preach bipartisanship.
For there to some Republican Senators that are isolationist is normal

Romney is the FARTHEST thing from an isolationist.
