Larry David had strong words when asked in a recent interview if he was "afraid about alienating" Trump supporters for wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat in his HBO show, "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
Journalist Jimmy Traina shared a clip of David's January interview with Michael Kay after President Trump shared a scene from "Curb" where David discovers that wearing the iconic "MAGA" hat is a great "people repellent." He wears the hat around Los Angeles to avoid person-to-person contact.
Kay asks David: "There are people that wear the MAGA hat and like what the MAGA hat represents. Are you afraid about alienating them? They could be fans of the show?

I think Larry David is actually funny though, and if someone can poke fun at me and actually make me laugh, I don’t mind being the brunt of a joke.
His humor is like the Seinfeld Show (for obvious reasons), he makes fun of everything - including himself, Leftists, - everybody.
And furthermore, when he makes fun of conservatives, I don’t hear the nasty edge, and the seething hatred, that makes so many other unfunny comedians so unfunny.
I realize these things are subjective - just saying...

It just shows that Larry David is no better than any other Leftist in dealing with facts and the truth.
He is insulated from realty. Maybe he can do a Show about running into Steve Scalise while walking around L.A.
The Lefty Trump hater who tried to run down a bunch of GOP Volunteers has barely been mentioned in the DNC Media. Had it been some nut going after some DNC Volunteers we would be hearing about it from now to Election Day.
I’ll bet Larry David hasn’t heard a thing about it.
Remember the Show where Larry’s Character is going after a Woman and can’t perform when he realizes she was a Supporter of President Bush?
The sketch was just there.
Until Trump hijacked it to use it as his own meme, then it is funny as h3ll.
I enjoyed Seinfeld so much that when it was announced that David was going to have his own show, I eagerly tuned in.
I didn’t even make it all the way through the inaugural episode, it was so bad.
And I have not seen a single one since.

If you look at it the right way, he’s making fun of leftists - that they could be so intolerant, so emotionally triggered by people who they don’t agree with.
It was a hilarious episode. Curb is hilarious and so well written. Do you know most of each show is adlib? Larry has certain lines that need to be hit but the entire show is arranged around actors who have strong adlib talent and you can tell even when they crack Larry up because he doesn’t know what they’re going to say.
That episode didn’t offend me at all. Why? I have a sense of humor. I know his politics. I don’t care. I care that his show is continually hilarious. I like to laugh. At least our side can laugh, they’re the ones who are bent out of shape every day.
It's sometimes difficult -- I fully acknowledge -- to separate a whacked-out Leftist's political views from what they may provide by their entertainment talents, but to not do so (except in increasingly -- unfortunately -- extreme cases of course) is a loss, I think.
Why would MAGA people resent it? He is wearing the hat, it gets seen on his show. He is also showing how bitter and violent the left is, by showing how even a liberal wearing the hat gets attacked, ostracized, and isolated.
I can’t think of a better advertisement for what is wrong with liberal theology these days.

Larry David is profoundly ill. Mentally. I noticed that he is the unfunny version of the George Costanza character from “Seinfeld”. If you don’t believe me, watch “Curb” and imagine Costanza uttering David’s lines. If I could figure a way to make a drinking game out of that I probably could copyrite it and retire.
I think Curb is hilarious and very self-depreciating comedy on David’s part.
But of course he is a Hollywood liberal transplanted from NY.
He does get some shots in on the libs he lives with. And he does a great Bernie Sanders and has the look.
