The meteoric rise continues for Andrew Brasher, who was confirmed as a federal district court judge for the Middle District of Alabama just nine months ago.
Brasher is moving up the judicial ladder with confirmation Tuesday by the Republican-controlled U.S. Senate. Hell now sit on the bench at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, based in Atlanta.
Sen. Richard Shelby, R-AL, praised the young judge from the Senate floor, calling the confirmation a testament to his vast legal ability and commitment to upholding the rule of law as it is written.
Brasher was nominated for the position by President Donald Trump in November, just six months into his federal judgeship.
Brasher, a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham and Harvard Law School where he was a member of the Harvard Law Review, was previously a law clerk to Eleventh Circuit Judge Bill Pryor, Jr.
Before his brief stint at the district judge level, Brasher served as Alabamas Solicitor General and Deputy Solicitor General and gained experience arguing cases before the Alabama Supreme Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ha ha ha...
Brashers a good one...and hes only 38 years old.
OK, Mr President, youve still got a vacancy on the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Please quickly get a good nominee for that vacancy and get the name to the Senate for confirmation.
Stack ‘em up, Mr. President!

They were too busy off running for president to do their jobs.
Time to ram through every judge on the roster.
Thats what you love, 40+ years on the bench, a Trump gift for the next couple of generations.
Outstanding, the libs are apoplectic.
Cloture is set to expire tomorrow on four district judicial nominees. Mitch has lined up nominations for courts in New York, Illinois, Missouri and Alaska.
How did mitt vote?
Wonderful. Keep em coming.

Mitt Romney voted yea, as did all the other Republican senators present. The record shows that only one Republican senator didn’t vote, Lindsey Graham, although I’m not sure where he was. Every Democrat present voted nay. The Republicans must keep the Senate!!!
This is why the impeachment had to be brought to a rapid close, instead of prolonging it for months. Judges waiting for confirmation, which can’t be done if the Senate is spending all its time on impeachment proceedings.

1. It is weird that he is the chairman of the Judiciary and he didn’t vote on someone he got through.
2. He could be off getting ready for all those investigations he keeps talking about.
Just think how great his third term is going to be
Line em up Cocaine Mitch.
Eight upper 70’s, 80’s yr old GOP ckt judges to be moved to senior status for younger and better.
Two in 4th ckt, vacancy in 5th ckt, three in 7th ckt, one in 8th ckt, and Milan Smith in 9th ckt.
How fast? Nominate now. Two per week in March. Git er done.
Lots of 80 yr old Appelate Rats playing footsie with the grim reaper too. Chuckie probably paying for RBG’s doctors to keep them going in 2020.
Gotta love it. Despite total opposition and delay tactics 1000 miles of new border wall and 51 (soon to be 60) federalist judges in ckt courts.
Concrete results, unstoppable. MAGAnator and turtlenator, relentless.
