EXETER, NH -- Gwen English was sitting in a coffee shop next to Hillary Clinton in 2008 when Clinton began to tear up in response to a question from a voter during the height of that years presidential campaign.
English, a retired teacher, loved Clinton. But she contrasted Clintons reserve with the more engaging personality of Sen. Amy Klobuchar.
English is anxious, like just about every Democratic voter here in the Granite State, about whether her party is on track to unify around a candidate who can defeat President Trump in the general election this fall.
Its total fear, English told Yahoo News. I was in tears on Nov. 9, [the day after] Trump got elected. It was one of my saddest birthdays.
Everybodys so afraid that theyre not able to pick the right person that theyre actually demotivated to go out of the door to vote, said Laura Korvinus, 21, an art history student from the Netherlands who traveled to New Hampshire with a group to observe the primary.
Korvinus and others in her group have knocked on doors in recent days for the campaign of Bernie Sanders, the Vermont senator, and found many New Hampshire voters overwhelmed by the multiplicity of choices on the Democratic ballot.
How will you fight this viper who goes for the jugular? asked Catherine Caldwell, a 64-year-old lifelong Democrat who attended a Biden event on Sunday in Hampton Beach, on the coast. I have been consumed by this since the moment [Trump] got elected.
Meanwhile, the sense of urgency among Democrats could not be greater.
Right now, each one of us is living a nightmare, said James Carville, the former adviser to Bill Clinton, at an event for Sen. Michael Bennet on Saturday afternoon in Manchester.

Operation Chaos without even trying
Democrats unsettled. Film at 11.
First unsettled, then triggered.
“I have been consumed by this since the moment [Trump] got elected.
We had eight years of Obama / Biden. We were not consumed by it, we went about our lives hoping and praying the Electorate would wake up.
Unfortunately, it took eight years instead of four thanks to Romney pissing away his Campaign. Then again, it might have been a blessing in disguise.
Question, were any FReepers “in tears” when Obama Won in 2008? I was disgusted and I don’t cry when I’m pissed off. Well, I don’t cry much anyway, but I love that Liberals do.
Imagine if Laura was visiting from Russia—or China!
How would the media story have read then?
Snowflakes gotta snowflake.
The polling place in my town was almost dead when I went in this morning. No lines at all, and not a single person outside holding signs. The other 2 voters that were there took Republican ballots. Zero enthusiasm. Very unusual!
I wonder if Laura K would find it objectionable if I were to go door to door in Amsterdam for a Dutch politician? This is just rude.
During 2008 and 2012 I wasn’t in tears but was heavily into the beers! Drinking away the pain.
>>>. It sounds more like foreign interference in our elections than “observing” to me...<<<
Yep. The DNC has active GOTV efforts in every language, for voters from every country, citizen or not, resident or not, dead or alive.
The reaction of many disappointed in Obama’s election was to withdraw from most interaction with others and going somewhat off-the-grid. That may sound great for an individual and family trying to cope, but all it did was remove opposition voices to Obama and the left.
That's what the Iowa caucuses did last Monday. 😁

Blowback is a biatch. Iowa turnout for the Rats was down 25%.
This coming after the impeachment hoax implosion could be equally bad or worse.
Pretty well describes the cult of the social media's Trump-hating Hillary supporters who emerged at the end of Election Day 2016 and found that their inattention to American history and the Electoral College feature of the Founders' protections for individual liberty had left them with a President for all the "people," not just the Progressive Left's elite!
They (the Progressive Regressives) don't even understand to this day how or why it happened.
Now that individuals of both political parties have tasted political freedom, Progressives are faced with a daunting task if they attempt putting the genie back in the bottle.
Election Intervention by foreigners: Laura Korvinus should be arrested and sent back home.
