House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) is demanding answers from Attorney General William Barr about a Justice Department "intake process" that will review information on Ukraine from President Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani.
In a letter sent to the attorney general, Nadler called on Barr to provide a "complete explanation" regarding his decision to sidestep standard practice and set up another channel for information coming out of Ukraine. He asked the attorney general to answer 11 questions related to the arrangement by Feb. 25.
"As you know, the Department has formal, established channels by which to receive information and begin investigations," Nadler wrote. "This new channel to Mr. Giuliani would seem to be a significant departure from those traditional channels."
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) first revealed on Sunday that Barr had "created a process" to receive and verify information on Ukraine coming from Giuliani. Barr confirmed Graham's comments a day later, saying during a press conference that the Justice Department has an “open door” to any individuals with information on Ukraine.
“There are a lot of agendas in the Ukraine, a lot of crosscurrents, and we can’t take anything we receive from the Ukraine at face value,” Barr said, adding that the department established "an intake process in the field so that any information coming in about Ukraine could be carefully scrutinized."

He used to antagonize Trump when Trump was trying to put together new projects up there.
I forget exactly what Nadler’s position was, but I believe he was with the city and was a thorn in Trump’s side even then.
Mr Barr should inquire why is it that the House dems haven’t begun Congressional overnight of this corruption already.
Thanks. Nadler’s been a pox on the House since he first arrived. I remember him being on the wrong side of issues over time. Nothing has changed with him.
As House Judiciary chair, Nadler does have the authority to conduct oversight and compliance of the DOJ to make sure the department is operating within applicable laws and spending its budget appropriately.
That said, the committee doesn't get to direct the operations of the Department, or interfere in them. Nadler can get information about this "channel" and find out that there is a deputy attorney general or US attorney who is overseeing the intake of information, establishing a chain of custody, and a procedure or procedures for evaluating the information gained. Is a dossier of information assembled by an untrustworthy source being used without independent confirmation as a basis for a counterintelligence fisa warrant targeting an American on American soil? That's the information Nadler and his committee are entitled to receive.
The actual information, how it has been evaluated, where it came from, and who it's about are part of an ongoing investigation. Revealing the information before the investigation is complete would impede any potential prosecution and impact the rights of the possible targets of a presumption of innocence.
Waddled should review the “intake process” for the infamous and very crooked “dossier.” That was over-the-top crime and corruption by many players inside government and out.
Nadler doesn’t even come close to the Jewish people I know. And he especially doesn’t represent the Jewish community I am acquainted with.

That’s exactly the reason a politician will spend millions to get elected to a $180,000 a year job in DC and those politicians looting of the foreign aid that they approve legislatively is the pot of gold they seek while serving in public office. DC has become a RICO goldmine!
