Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), a 2020 White House hopeful, on Sunday dismissed concerns that his status as a self-proclaimed democratic socialist would be a liability in a general election and said President Trump’s description of his ideology as “communist” was inaccurate.
“Obviously I am not a communist,” Sanders told host Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday” in response to a clip of Trump using the designation in a Fox News interview, adding that Trump “maybe doesn’t know the difference.”
Sanders also called Trump a “pathological liar” for claiming Sanders was “married in Moscow.”
Wallace continued to press Sanders on how he would address criticisms that agenda items such as the Green New Deal, Medicare for All and forgiveness of college debt are both overly radical and prohibitively expensive.
“In many respects, we are a socialist society today,” Sanders responded, noting the tax breaks and subsidies Trump received from the government as a businessman.
“The difference between my socialism and Trump’s socialism is I believe the government should help working families, not billionaires,” he added.
Addressing his specific proposals, Sanders said both the price tags and the overhaul of the status quo were preferable to the alternative.
“If we leave the [health care] status quo alone, in the next 10 years we’re going to be spending $50 trillion,” he said. “Medicare for All will cost the average American less than the $12,000 a year they are paying the insurance companies.”

If they TRULY believe in Communism take away their cell phones, cars, computers and issue them cards to get food on a monthly basis. Then take away their freedom of speech, abolish homosexuality, the right to travel, the right to medical care, and on and on and on.
That’s what they do in North Korea. Surely they would love to live there.

Actually as a Jew Bernie should know that a marriage is not complete until it is consummated in the marital act. In fact the Torah gives the newlyweds an extended deferment from national obligations so that there can be intimate times to deepen and confirm the marriage covenant. So in fact that part of the marriage indeed did take place in Communist Russia! Bernie came back as an ersatz agent of the Soviet Union and immediately hit the airwaves declaring how wonderful the Communist State was at the same time that Christians, Jews and real Russian patriots were being tortured and killed in the Gulag Archipelago. Way to go Bernie, you’re a fake Jew and true Democrat.

Getting Bernie to say, “I am not a Communist”, is the campaign ad, if Bernie’s still in the game by then.
The Dems understand this. Trump understands this. The denial implicates better than proof. This is used on stupid Pubbies all the time.
So long as we have 20 to 30 million illegals in the country, we will not have a free market.
There’s no doubt Sanders is a communist and parsing words by substituting other nomenclatures for the word “communist” is a deception.
Karl Marx spent most of his life in London and what’s interesting is, is that France has been communist since the fall of Napoleon and Britain has been communist since the Peterloo massacre.
That is about a hundred years before the October Revolution and Bolshevism in Russia.
The key to a Bernie candidacy is his VP, because if Bernie is elected, that person will be President before the end of his first term.
If he really isn't a Communist now, then he must be an ex-Communist. Those exist. I've known a few.
But if he were an ex-Communist, his main point would be how wrong he used to be and how Communism is the worst possible system.
No one is more anti-Communist than a sincere ex-Communist.
