Vindman went around the chain of command, leaked information, and refused to follow orders.
Sure, Sondland is a clod. But, I have to wonder whose judgement it was to give him the job apparently because he was a successful campaign bundler for Trump.

Gergen obviously admitted Trump can and should fire Vindman, but somehow Trump is evil because he didn’t call Vindman in personally and say “Son, I know you had to testify honestly, but it’s best if you don’t work here now”.

Mr. Vindman... excuuuuuuse me, Lt. Col. Vindman, needs to be court martialed and sent to the brig for breaking numerous laws during his role as a coup conspirator.
Sondland’s sin was having businesses in Portland. They pressured him politically and with protests at his business. Sondland, in my opinion, made a choice to cave into their demands to protect his business.
These guys are lucky if all they’re getting is dismissal. They should have major federal charges against them and those in the military should be court martialed.
If they’re smart, they’ll just accept this and go away quietly while they can.
Trump is making up for 3 long years to say “YOU’RE FIRED”!!!!
