Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who made waves as a witness during the Trump impeachment proceedings, was fired Friday by the National Security Council and escorted off of the White House grounds, Fox News has confirmed.
Vindman was on detail to the National Security Council from the Department of Defense, and it is expected he will return there. It comes just two days after President Trump was acquitted in the Senate on the impeachment charges brought by the House last year over his dealings with Ukraine.

The President left them in because they could do no real damage and the optics of removing them earlier would have been touted as “more coverup”...I expect a substantial purge and also sense the President is still leaving a lot unsaid because he doesn’t want to taint any of the Barr/Durham investigations underway - just as beck pointed out yesterday - as our aid to Ukraine was being held up and Trump was asking for more substantial looking into corruption, the IMF was deciding on a $5 Billion loan to the Ukraine but wanted a corrupt bank (used by Obama to “bail out” the bank, owned by another gangland Oligarch, and $1.8 Billion disappeared right after deposit) to be raided and get the records to insure the loan wouldn’t also be misused...the bank was raided and assets/records seized and the IMF released the loan - and President Trump released the aid...
Seems like the whole “whistleblower” scam may have been put together to hide massive corruption by Obama Admin in the Ukraine...
Vindman reminds me of the main character in the Kevin Costner movie “No Way Out”. He is a Ukrainian operative who long ago created a cover that he was an American citizen. Only he was always and still is loyal to Ukraine, and not the USA.

Terminated early from a plum assignment is a kiss of death. He was fired, sent packing early and that is a very bad thing for his career, as in he has no career.
Vindman needs a courts-martial for several UCMJ violations ....

Agree mostly. Don’t think he has a court martial in his future. He was on his way to SSS and flag rank when he became too full of himself. The services are, among many things, political. If he has a court martial then all heck breaks loose, so in a way he is protected BUT his career is done, over, ended. He will spend the next few years in obscurity and no peer or commander or subordinate will trust him. He will be forever embarrassed and retire from some do nothing job in a horrible location. He knows he ruined his reputation and stopped cold a career that was accelerating upward.

No; the entire area is gated, and secure even from cellphones unless someone else on WH staff wants to lose his/her job. A passerby would have had to have caught the moment when they put him outside the gates; however, common sense tells us tha, he would have been put in a vehicle instead, inside the WH grounds, and driven home or over to the Pentagon into a secure area.
He will be offered a professorship at a university; mark my words.
