“...voters will oust them in the fall. “

The next election for the VA General Assembly isn’t until 2021.

Because so, so many mass murderers have used suppressed guns (none I know of to date).

Have the sanctuary counties meet somewhere friendly in far western Virginia like Lynchburg. Draft articles of secession to either form another state or to join WV or TN. Article’s should state that Richmond no longer represents the culture and interests of the sanctuary counties and that said counties respectively ask to form a government or join another state that is more representative of their culture and their needs. Send formal letters of interest to those two states & to Congress as well as the VA state house. Make the Rat Va government react! It will generate a ton of negative PR on the Northam Richmond government in particular & on Rats in general. It will be beautiful if the PR gets the Rat debates to talk about it. Its a PR battle! If there’s violence Va (all of us!) lose! Anyone who wants to parade around & wave guns like they’re a modern a P G T Beauregard is not helping! That’s what the left expects! The need to go home & cool their jets! Make the media interview women & children asking why the state of Va wants to imprison, kill their fathers & grandpas to take their guns.

“Hope that happens here in Colorado! “

How? We have trainloads of Californians and NYC denizens being dropped of lately. Plus an influx of Middle Easterners taking over whole neighborhoods (and no, they’re not natural conservatives). The ‘just looking for a better life (at your expense)’ crowd from points South that is the Dems natural constituency, don’t forget them. It’s going to end badly.

There was a partisan impeachment over delay of arms to Ukraine. Yet it is okay to delay arms to our citizens?

Think I’m going shooting this afternoon. Will have to stop by one of the local lakes to retrieve a weapon.

Virginians have to make the Richmond government react negatively to them. Sadly the harsher and more irrational the better! Hopefully just very public temper tantrums! Can the counties do tax protest, withhold taxes to Richmond. I don’t know how tax collection works in Va. Goes directly to the state or threw the counties? Anyway it needs to be talked about at the convention, again make the Va state government say something harsh. Its clear they can be easily goaded into it.

Zactly

Idiotic

I show people scary guns then show them my M1’s, which were lost in a boating accident.

Apparently they want to ban AR & AK but, my non scary .308, which can reach out and touch someone with my Luepold MKIV is okay.

I just laugh at them...

"effective July 1"

Buy your AR15s before July 1!

(And also, "The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes".) They'll pass the law, and Governor Coonman will sign it, and lawsuits will immediately be filed.)

If the Democrats aka Demoncrats ever told the truth, to them any semi-automatic firearm is an assault weapon. They will worry about confiscating pump action, lever action and bolt action rifles later.

Guns are only the tip of the iceberg for Virginians. Once Democrats are in control they are not afraid to use their power to abuse the general populace. Step one is to start with guns since a good portion of the state population is uninformed about their use and it’s a “feel good” issue. If this issue doesn’t meet enough resistance for repeal, they will move on to voter registration, union favoritism (already in the works), growth of government to create a large voting block, growth of welfare, etc.. All of these items are designed to ensure they will remain in power at the ballot box. Once their base is secure, look for higher taxes, loss of personal rights, unchecked immigration, and further modeling of the state into another New York or California.

The next election is critical. Get out the vote to oust these Democrats or prepare to vote with your feet.

Present a slate of grievances re: the ban, such that if only one is accepted the ban fails.

Establish standing as I indicated.
Assert the right as I indicated.
Eviscerate the alleged reason for the ban (”public safety”) as you indicated.

13 “was amended so that those who own the banned weapons would not have to give them up or register them,”

Yet.

1st - new definition of "assault weapon"
2nd - ban lawful commerce of assault weapons - those already in private possession are grandfathered
3rd - build a firearm registry
4th - confiscate all assault weapons
