The presidents barrier is one of the largest federal infrastructure projects in the nations history. Heres what his administration has built so far and where it plans to build next...
The Trump administration is installing a structure far more formidable than anything previously in place along the border. The new structure has steel bollards, anchored in concrete, that reach 18 to 30 feet in height and will have lighting, cameras, sensors and improved roads to allow U.S. agents to respond quickly along an expanded enforcement zone....
(President) Trump has promised to build at least 500 miles of new fencing by early next year, and his administration has completed about 110 miles so far. To meet the presidents targets, crews will need to add about 30 linear miles of barrier per month throughout 2020, more than double the current pace of construction.

One fundamental error however, is that much of their graphics and estimates, do not include the effects of the FY 2020 money that is now available ($1.4 billion in direct appropriation, and another $7.billion likely coming from DoD soon). That massive tidal wave of additional funding is going to speed things up quite a bit. Another $3.6 billion in last year's money was held up in court, but was recently freed up to go to work as well. That more than $12 billion in total is going to explode production rates.
The total Program is now 576 miles (including the FY 2020 direct appropriation), and will likely rise to 885 miles in the coming weeks, when DoD approves the transfer of their funds.
A new fact reported here, is that 221 miles of existing barrier is assessed to be good enough to not need replacement. In addition to the 885 miles that will be funded or completed this year, that could total the approximately 1,100 miles of barrier which were identified as needed in the Comprehensive Plan developed to secure the Southern Border.
If that is the case, then the money that the President is diverting from DoD this year would be enough to finish all the barrier building that DHS thinks it needs for full operational control of the Southern Border - 25% under the budget, and two years ahead of the schedule that the Plan estimated.

God Bless President Trump!
Promises Made. Promises Kept. KAG! :)
Has Ann Coulter been informed of this?
If a tsunami hits San Diego/Tijuana a 30’ tall fence firmly planted will help keep the debris from floating from across the border. The left wants the illegals to surf over the border should a big wave hit.
For many many including myself, this is Trump’s ultimate legacy (more so than judges).
I hope after re-election that he will continue to build and strengthen the wall so we can have ‘full operational control’ over the border.
“Has Ann Coulter been informed of this?”
No doubt.
But she continues to pretend that she does not know/understand/believe, for whatever her reasons may be.
Running about 5 miles per week now, and preparing to accelerate throughout the rest of the year.
Now need to start planning the mass-deportation schedules and deadlines... All these foreign invaders certainly will not want to stay penned up in the U.S. by this massive wall...
Set them free! Set them all free! Send them home!
We’re so blessed Hillary lost.
If that witch was President she’d be waving illegals in from every country in the world willing to provide cheap servants for our white liberal ‘elites’...
And the rest of us? Our wages and jobs would have tanked.
Trump should put Coulter in charge of the wall building. That would shut her up...
