Former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch accused the Trump administration of undermining American political ideals and called for Americans to fight for democracy in a Washington Post op-ed published Thursday.
Yovanovitch, who was removed from her post in May 2019 amid a campaign against her by Trump associates, alternated between dire warnings and hope for the future in the wake of the presidents acquittal Wednesday in his Senate impeachment trial.
I have seen dictatorships around the world, where blind obedience is the norm and truth-tellers are threatened with punishment or death, she wrote. We must not allow the United States to become a country where standing up to our government is a dangerous act.

Someone post the pic of the screaming liberal on her knees!
She sounds like a moron, Jim.
“I’m ass-mad someone I didn’t like became President and it eventually led to my firing.”
She has a cushy job at the State Department.
She was never fired.
She’s an ingrate and shameless.
Swamp hubris.
Yes, because dictatorships always fight for the people’s rights to keep and bear arms, to speak freely what’s on their minds, and to freely exercise their religious conscience.
Yet, people will believe what she says.
Once more, the permanent administrative state bleats at having their power and influence undermines by actual elected officials.
I have seen dictatorships around the world, where blind obedience is the norm and truth-tellers are threatened with punishment or death,
So she thinks you shouldn’t try to impeach someone for saying Biden is corrupt as hell.
Trump is the worst dictator, ever.
Nobody’s been fired, no news outlets have been shut down, no journalists have been arrested.
I mean, come on, what kind of dictator is this?
“Yovanovitch, who was removed from her post in May 2019 amid a campaign” ... to sabotage the duly elected Presidents of the Ukraine and United States. It’s good luck for her that in the US, when you go against the king, the worst that happens is you lose your job.
We must not allow the United States to become a country where standing up to our government is a dangerous act.
Then she should have resigned and protested Trump’s policies publicly, instead of covertly undermining him.
Nothing cries “SWAMP” and “DEEP STATE” more than this grating nag.
Is there any doubt she was badmouthing Trump in the Ukraine?
GOOD RIDDANCE to BAD RUBBISH.
Yovanovitch needs to reread her job description which clearly states she doesn’t make policy, she carries out policies set by the President.
Dictators can't operate in a vacuum. They need minions to help them put a heel to the necks of the common guy/gal.
Yovanovitch was the key the corrupt politicians (too many names here to list) were using to keep a lid on the foreign aid/Burisma scam.
Thus their reaction.
He’s probably waiting until he gets reelected several more times.
Wasn’t she given some cushy job at a university with a large salary? Why can’t we just fire traitors like this? Why do we think that moving them to a different position with high pay and benefits is the way to go? Just total BS.
This traitor was part of the coup. Why are these types never punished? This just really messed up. ...a government “worker” is nothing more than a different way of saying welfare recipient. ..blood sucker
Joe Biden launched his pathetic presidential campaign ONE DAY after Yovanovich was recalled.
And now this globalist operative is polluting the Washington Post with her drivel.
This ain't all a coincidence, folks.
another disgruntled person whose tender little feelings were hurt by the bad orange man. Boo-hoo Marie. She should be glad he fired her, now she will get her 15 minutes of fame, make some money, win praise and fawning favor from celebrities. No one ever heard of her before.
