Judge Andrew Napolitano: Despite his impeachment trial acquittal, Trump clearly guilty of a high crime
Fox News ^ | February 5 2020 | Judge Andrew P. Napolitano

The Senate impeachment trial of President Trump ended not with a bang but a whimper. What different outcome could one expect from a trial without so much as a single witness, a single document, any cross-examination or a defendant respectful enough to show up?

Law students are taught early on that a trial is not a grudge match or an ordeal; it is a search for the truth. Trial lawyers know that cross-examination is the most effective truth-testing tool available to them.

But the search for the truth requires witnesses, and when the command from Senate Republican leaders came down that there shall be no witnesses, the truth-telling mission of Trump's trial was radically transformed into a steamroller of political power.

I don’t know your age, but every Republican president since Nixon has absolutely been hated by the media and Democrats, and none was hated more than Nixon. The others were all hated so much it’s hard to pick a number two. Trump might be hated more than the rest, but not by much.

Napolitano must not be aware of the different responsibilities assigned to the House and Senate in connection with an impeachment.

The House violated its own rules in denying due process to the President. The House held secret hearings and locked out the Republican House members. The House had 18 witnesses. The House held the articles of impeachment for more than 30 days before delivering them to the Senate. The House claimed that they had an ironclad compelling case.

The House has yet to provide all of the witness transcripts to the Senate. Napolitano should do his homework before making half-cooked and baseless claims about Trumps "guilt." It is time for Napolitano to retire and write a book.

It would appear Trump’s acquittal has gotten the Judge all Butt hurt, literally and figuratively.

All that hate was not broadcasted 24/7 every day. When Nixon was impeached, it was on TV, yes. But the daily news was limited to usually 30 minutes in the evening. it was Ted Turner who started his network in GA and it went on 24 hrs a day.. they wondered what they would talk about for that long every day... today I call it gossip, talking up everything they want to push onto the public. It’s called indoctrination and those who don’t have another way to get news, hear it day in and day out. Even if you refuse to believe it, it gets into the heads and it changes minds...
They hated Reagan and gave Nancy a hard time on everything. But the depth and the ability to spread it around via the airwaves... is more today.. deeper and more serious.. the talk on the left is so hard and goes past what was being said about Reagan.
Reagan had a way of not being so offensive.. Trump is offensive to many... but I wanted a fighter and I don’t mind.. the left has been able to be bad dudes for a long time... and no one minded.. but let a Trump give it back and they scream.
I have a saying... If you are in a fight with an enemy, and you are the only one playing fair, you will lose. They don’t play fair and you can’t be a wimp in that contest.
The left/dems did not try to impeach Reagan... Nixon was not liked at all... and I was watching TV the day John Dean spilled his guts and turned on them all. Yes, they got caught, but the left is dirtier than any other party.
Dean ratting on them all... I am fair and honest.. I just thought him to be a weak person, and willing to turn on anyone for his own benefit. There are ways to get things straight without doing it suddenly on live TV.

And, despite having never been charged or convicted, Napolitano is still a gay child molester.

And yet nappy doesn't have any qualms that Trump's team was never allowed to cross examine the 17 witnesses against him.

This so called Judge Napolitano is a terrific example of what is wrong with our judiciary. How this incompetent asshole served as a judge in Jersey is beyond comprehension. He has no knowledge of what a crime is. Fox should terminate the POS.

Why is it that so many of his kind are so treacherous?

For some reason, inexplicable to me, psychopaths and sociopaths seem to gravitate to politics and manage to work their way all the way up to the top of the food chain. Once there, they cause incalculable harm.
