One of the reports wrote, At State Councils press conference on Feb, 3, Tian Yulong, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, announced that by Feb. 1, the daily output of the diagnosis kits had reached 773,000, which is 40 times the number of suspected patients. Therefore, Chinas medical facilities now have a sufficient supply of diagnosis kits.
The other report, however, quoted a medical expert as saying that there is a shortage of diagnosis kits in Wuhan City, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.

770 thousand a day!?!
that’s impressive for a communist country
The ones that don’t work are the export models.
This is absolutely horrifying. Praying for the Chinese people. And for the complete downfall of their hellish government.
I wonder if these are genetic kits based on the ones the CDC is using.
Wait at that pace i think it will take 2 and a half years to get one for every person there.
wow.
So instead of getting answers they portray a seeming contradiction in order to increase fear.
Why not? Some people easily fall for it.
How many how have died in China from the regular flu this season?
I think it’s around 10,000 in the US.
China shutdown risks global shock

Excerpt:
“As of this week, two-thirds of the Chinese economy remains shut down. More than 80 per cent of its manufacturing industry is closed, rising to 90 per cent for exporters.”
Infectious disease ping.
Would the Chinese shut down major sections of their economy for minor reasons?
Either they are insanely over reacting, or their official story is a complete fabrication.
“I think its around 10,000 in the US.”
How long is the regular flu season, just wondering
Almost exactly 5 years to cover all 1.4 billion Chinese. Give the communist propensity for 5 year plans, I doubt that is a coincidence.
The flu has a reservoir of hosts and a proven mortality rate of 0.1%. The Wu Han Virus has no reservoir and at least in China is still spreading exponentially, with a current mortality rate of 2% - 20 times higher (based on CCP propaganda numbers) - or, if you want to use only the statistics of resolved cases (got better or died) about a 30% mortality rate - 300 times that of the flu, far higher even than the boogeyman of modern disease lore, the Spanish Flu which weighed in at a measly 10%.
You are erroneously comparing two different animals and two different situations. Use bogus comparisons to justify sticking your own head in the sand, but you shouldn’t post when you are not using a valid basis or even legitimate statistics.
While you are right not to panic, you are wrong to dismiss this thing given the data we have thus far. It bears watching closely.
When Does Flu Season Officially Start?
There is no fixed date for the start of flu season. Instead, flu season is characteristically marked by the winter months coming in and the weather cooling down.
Influenza may circulate lightly through populations throughout the entire year, causing a few infections, but winter weather triggers the flu to be exponentially more active.
Although the medical field has not yet identified exactly why flu viruses are more active in the winter, cold weather is universally believed to be a primary catalyst for the start of flu season.
Once there is a significant spike in the number of influenza infections occurring throughout the population, the CDC officially declares that flu season has begun.
As this season progresses, the CDC constantly tracks, collects, and analyzes data related to flu infections. This allows it to identify trends in when and where the flu virus is being spread. Based on these trends, the CDC can forecast when the virus is at its peak level of infectiousness and inform at-risk community members to take extra precautions.
Flu season typically falls sometime between the start of fall and the end of spring. For the past three decades, flu activity has peaked at some point between the months of October and February but always tapers off by April.
Peak Months of Flu Activity
Here is a breakdown of the peak months of flu activity over a 34-year period between 1982 and 2016:
February was the peak month for flu activity in 14 of the 34 flu seasons, making it the most common month for peak flu activity.
December followed February, with the highest flu activity in seven of the 34 flu seasons.
March is third, with flu activity peaking this month in six seasons during the 34-season period.
January was the least common month to facilitate peak flu activity, with the flu peaking this month in only five of the 34 flu seasons.
Experts in this country are saying the mortality rate is predicted to be around two percent.
Stop spreading fear.
The other possibility is that China is making a bunch of kits and they are sitting in a warehouse somewhere or have been sent to Beijing to protect government officials. So Wuhan still has shortages. Or the PLA “lost” a bunch of them and they ended up at PLA headquarters to project generals.
In a communist government, those are perfectly credible explanations for the Wuhan shortage amidst amped up production.
Kind of like the Puerto Rico hurricane supplies that ended up in warehouses all over Puerto Rico, causing shortages of supplies where they were needed.
About 50,000 a year in the US die from Pneumonia...which is the real danger associated with this particular virus. Those who died all have pneumonia. This is basically a strain of pneumonia that is more easily transmitted. If 50,000 contract and die from pneumonia right now then how many will contract and die from a super infectious strain?
I am not spreading fear. I cited the 2% figure in my post you didn’t fully read. Had you read it, you would have seen that I advised not panicking and being vigilant.
You are dismissing this thing as if it actually were like the flu, but it is not.
Stop spreading ignorance.
