“Nixon doesnt deserve that association.”
I’ve always wondered what kind of idiot would record his own (incriminating)phone calls. Especially in the 70’s! Like, Duh!

for three years trump had his opportunity to put powerful dems in prison including for sedition. Two years ago Biden confessed don video. Nada happened to him or his son. Anything Trump does now will reek of vindictiveness payback especially to independent voters who he needs to win the election. NOTHING will happen to any criminal democrats. nThe moment has passed.

Just maybe America avoided a second civil war .....for now. America having a president removed by coup as a virus infects the country and world would make life quite on the edge with a government that pretty much would be dissolved and Republic in disarray.

I’m not a Mitch fan but I’d give him a B+ on how he’s handled this.
Would have been nice to just vote down the charges out of the gate. Or to keep Romney on the reservation. Gotta admire the Dems ability to enforce discipline, they even kept Manchin from straying.

The danger would be if they actually ACQUIRE power. I mean, can you even imagine?

There is nothing to stop the Democrats from voting another set of articles of impeachment if they think they can gain some political advantage from doing so...as long as they have a majority in the House of Representatives.
Henry Louis Gates, Jr., researches the family trees of celebrities (mostly) for his PBS program "Finding Your Roots." He should do Mitt Romney's genealogy and show how he is related to Benedict Arnold.

Or to keep Romney on the reservation. Gotta admire the Dems ability to enforce discipline, they even kept Manchin from straying. Romney's vote to convict is the first time in three impeachment trials where a member of the president's own party voted to convict. All 45 Democrats in the Clinton impeachment voted to acquit. All 9 Democrats in the Andrew Johnson impeachment voted to acquit as well.
To: dragnet2
Acquitted of both non-crimes. How could it go any other way? Abuse of power means nothing without context—and theirs included no crimes or evidence of a crime. Obstruction of Congress is not possible because of executive privilege. I still don’t know what Democrats were thinking.

Will the NY Times have any news or will there just be a big black ink blot for the front page?

In 2018, Romney begged for President Trump's endorsement for the Senate run to replace Orrin Hatch. The President endorsed him, and Romney has been stabbing him in the back ever since.
President Trump's Twitter comment from 9:17 AM - Oct 5, 2019: "Mitt Romney never knew how to win. He is a pompous ass who has been fighting me from the beginning, except when he begged me for my endorsement for his Senate run (I gave it to him), and when he begged me to be Secretary of State (I didnt give it to him). He is so bad for Rs!"
The Twitter quote is from here:
Rush Limbaugh - Mitt Romney Assured Pelosi There Was Republican Support to Impeach President Trump
How'd that work out for you Mittens? Put a fork in yourself...you're done!
